Hot Stay

The staff were great. Unfortunately, the hotel has seen better days. Very long waits for an elevator were common. To the extent that we actually used the stair on several occasions. We later found out that a couple of the elevators were out of service. The room was extremely hot. We were switched to another room that wasn't must better and had to request fans be brought up. This was a common theme with other guests staying at the hotel.

Unfortunately, our experience at this hotel was disappointing due to the lack of air conditioning in our room. It was over 80°F inside, making it extremely hot and uncomfortable to sleep. While maintenance did bring us a tower fan, it was nowhere near sufficient to cool the room. For the price point of the stay, we expected basic comforts like functional AC, so this was a letdown. I hope management addresses this for future guests.

The room temperature did not work it was uncomfortably hot. I set it to 66 degrees and it would not got under 73. I paid over 600 a night and i will not be returning. It felt way hotter than 73 degrees this is including the blinds being shut. I was so uncomfortable we were sweating so much

Great service, no air conditioning, poor internet

There were a lot of things I loved about this hotel, but overall the experience was not good. The service was wonderful, the room was spacious and gorgeous, and the location can’t be beat. BUT they need to warn guests that they do not have air conditioning at certain times of year. I have a chronic illness that is severely exacerbated by heat, and I never would have booked the hotel if I had known the room would be so hot. Staying there made me sick, which is obviously very upsetting, especially at this price point. They bring a fan and tell you to open the windows. The fan is weak and the windows open about an inch, leaving the room extremely hot when it is hot outside and not much better at night. Also, the internet is also awful, so don’t plan any zoom meetings in your room.

Nice hotel, but no AC before May!

Enjoyed our stay. The only caveat on comfort was that we were visiting in late April during a period when NYC was quite warm. The hotel had not turned on its AC for the summer season, yet, so our room was quite warm. The hotel sent up a fan to our room to moderate the heat, which was somewhat helpful. (AC would have been better). Otherwise, lovely place. Good bed, pillows, linens, and plenty of space.
