"Disappointing Experience Despite Advance Booking Our group of six friends booked three rooms well in advance and specifically requested that all three rooms be next to each other, each with two double beds. Unfortunately, upon arrival, we were informed that our rooms were not even on the same floor. After speaking with the manager and spending nearly an hour sorting things out while tired and hungry from traveling we were finally told that all three rooms had been arranged on the same floor, with only one room slightly farther away. However, once we checked in and received our keys, we discovered that the rooms were actually on different floors, and the two rooms that were supposed to be next to each other were not. This was extremely disappointing, especially since the hotel appeared to have plenty of empty rooms and our request had been made far in advance. We chose this hotel to celebrate a friend’s 50th birthday and were looking forward to a special getaway together. As busy women who rarely get time away from our families, we expected a much better experience and more thoughtful accommodation of our request. Sadly, this stay fell far short of expectations, and in hindsight, we may have made the wrong choice in selecting this hotel."

"Disgusting experience at Breathless Riviera Cancun Resort & Spa. My Rolex was stolen from my room after housekeeping entered my room. I took it off before going to the pool around 11:00 AM, placed it inside my zipped jewelry bag, and returned around 2:30 PM to find it missing. My room had been cleaned during that exact time frame. I reported it immediately, and instead of acting with urgency or concern, management gave excuses, offered zero solutions, and treated me like the problem. They hid behind “protocol” and implied that because it was not in the safe, somehow theft from my room is acceptable. Manager George was especially disgraceful—he offered no help, no accountability, then walked away and refused to speak with me while I was dealing with a serious theft. This resort clearly cares more about protecting staff and avoiding responsibility than protecting paying guests. If something valuable is stolen from your room, don’t expect honesty, urgency, or competent management. A luxury resort with bargain-basement security and even worse leadership. Stay elsewhere."

"We went there 13 years ago and just got back from there again. Still a beautiful resort but some of the rooms are starting to show their age. But seems they are slowly updating because one of our rooms was fully updated. Would definitely go back, food was top notch and the pools are awesome! "
