Very nice renovation of old motel with great decorating. Fixtures, doors, furniture very nice and functional. Comfortable bed and nice shower. Room and property very clean. Room quiet except for when train goes through town. Signage is poor and it is not clear were to park to check in and unload. The area for this has bad traffic flow. Parking long term is across the street in fenced lot that is easy access. Breakfast was petrified eggs soupy oatmeal and no fresh coffee. Location great for walking to lakefront or downtown to restaurants.

I requested a wake up call in the morning as I was going to a funeral, none did, the elevator got stuck between floors. But other than that room was clean.

TERRIBLE. I booked 6 months in advance with the intent of Pay at Property. The hotel manager decided to only try pre-authorising my card ON THE DAY of arrival. The payment didn’t go through for some reason (my card was not maxed out and I still working in Canada) so he cancelled my booking. I am a female who had driven 800+ kilometres from Portage La Prairie. I had NO email connectivity on the day whilst driving to the venue. I had been on a trip staying at 18+ other locations on my card before that day. Those either did prepayments or tried processing my card BEFORE the day of stay. I was left stranded late evening in a city that is full of undesirables and homeless glue-sniffing troubled souls. I was forced to stay at a hotel at double the cost after spending too long trying to source alternative accommodation. Absolutely despicable how anyone would leave a female stranded as this hotel did.

Would not be comfortable walking outside by myself to go a block to Micky D’s or several blocks to the casino. Very unhealthy streets witnessing very intoxicated individuals, one sleeping on the sidewalk, another group sitting at the start of an ally shooting up. Very sad and although the activities that I witnessed the city and businesses have did a great job. The hotel unfortunately has had to lock doors and parking. The hotel is a great place and has done an excellent job

This property was ok to sleep at. The breakfast was sad, the safe in our room didn't work and the area outside left a person feeling unsafe. Some security around the building would have been good. The window in our room was filthy with fingerprints and smudges and the elevator was terribly slow. Overall, very low average to average place.
