Room not ready, wrong beds, no care from clerk

We arrived at 4 pm. Check in time was 2 pm We booked two rooms and one was not available as had not been cleaned. The clerk wouldn’t say when it would be ready and that they had full guests and cleaners called in sick. No empathy, no care. Then got to the rooms finally and there were two double beds when I had booked King Size beds.

My husband has mobility issues. We arrived late at night ( assuming there would be an elevator) and discovered we were on the second floor. I asked if there was an elevator and was told there wasn’t one. I explained that my husband had back issues and was told there was only stairs. We were not offered a room in main floor. At the bottom of several steep steps there was a wheelchair ramp. I thought ok , maybe he can use that to go up to the second floor and then I could use it for the 50+ pound suitcase. However I was told the ramp didn’t work either. A couple of minutes later an attendant came and offered to carry the suitcase but another guest there had already started to lift it…. We were not offered a room on the ground floor. My husband ( who experiences debilitating back pain) had to climb all these stairs. We were faced with the same issue checking out ( only no hotel staff visible ) in the morning. I was disappointed to say the least! Thank God for the helpful guest.

Poor housekeeping.

No soap in the bathroom. Shower was not cleaned after last occupant. B Wife wiped up blood from bathroom floor.
