Right in the heart of the Fremont Street experience. We stayed in Carson Tower and were pleasantly surprised with the quality of our room. We ate at one of the steakhouses in the Golden Nugget and had a great meal. Excellent breakfast nearby at Binions and the D.

The noise from Fremont street is too loud and can be heard all night even from rooms that are not facing it. Its like a live concert playing endlessly. I feel the music is even too loud on freemont street itself. You have to yell to talk and you still can't hear what anyone is saying. The hotel public areas reeked of smoke all night and most of the day. Made it difficult to enjoy a meal at dinner time. And for the prices for dinner, one shouldn't have to taste cigarette smoke with their food. We were there during off season and it was hard to get drink service in casino areas. Which lead us to play less and eventually give up or go elsewhere. As for the room itself, no turn down service, trash pick up, or fresh towels. House keeping showed up once over 3 days at the wrong time and never came back or asked if we needed anything again.

There is a Chik fil a and starbucks near the elivators by the rooms. There is a claim jumper restaurant neary as well. Staff was kind. It was a bummer not to be able to see the tank closer but the weather was cold. Valet staff were great. Bellman was a bit inpatient.
