Unfortunately the host did not communicate well. We arrived at the address on the listing. It did not exist. We reached out to the manager. They told us “Oh, we didn’t know what time you were coming. The address where you are is just to pick up the key but since it is almost 5:00 and we will be closed you will have to go to a different address. At that address, there is a lockbox with a key in it. You will then be able to access the unit.” After walking four blocks, there was no key in the lockbox. We contacted the manager again. He tells us he will have to call us back. When he calls back he states “A pipe above the shower burst. The plumber is still working on it.” When asked why they didn’t notify us sooner, he stated, “We were hoping to get it fixed before you got here but there is no water so we can rent it to you. We have other locations though.” All of the other locations were far from where we were hoping to stay which was in the heart of the city…close to Times Square. We then had to scramble to find somewhere else and walk even more through New York with suitcases. It was very unprofessional and I would not recommend booking with them. The only plus was a quick refund. I was really concerned about that.
