It was a different place and not at all what I expected. The owners were very friendly and the place was clean. Rooms were small and the A/C did not work so the room was hot and uncomfortable. This place was an experience for sure.

I need my $182 refund. No front desk. The lady told me that her son took away all her room keys so she can’t open our room. gave us a small temp room which was filled with urine smell. PLEASE GIVE ME MY REFUND

I read the mixed reviews and chose Macaw Guesthouse anyway - I am glad that I did. It was a reasonable option in expensive New York City and it was as described. Charming hosts who went out of their way to welcome me and ensure that I was comfortable. Short walk to transportation options and dining options nearby. Highly recommend and would stay again.

They went above and beyond for us. 1) They came out and helped us find parking and gave us a tour of the facility. 2) THEY SHIPPED MY LOST WALLET TO WHERE I WAS STAYING! They have gone above and beyond. Very clean and very kind highly recommend!
