Guests driving to the property should be aware of seasonal road closures. Hwy 120 (Tioga Pass) closes October through late June, restricting east-to-west travel across the park. Yosemite's eastern gate and Tuolumne Meadows are not accessible when Tioga Pass is closed. Guests are advised to check local weather and road conditions/closures with the California Department of Transportation before travel.

Wonderful place to stay. Would stay again. Was a great stay for 2 nights 2 queens. Beds were great. Room clean. Bathroom nice and clean. Close to south Yosmite entrance. Kueig coffee pot in the room was nice. I didnt like the coffee machine in the lobby for breakfast , lots of choices to eat, but lots of coffee grounds in my cup. Mentioned it, i got "we know." Dumped my coffee out.

The room was clean, no doubt about that, so it always feels comfortable. The bed was great, big & spacious rooms. Tour guiding in the area means LOTS of hotels in different areas but I try to stay here every chance I get since it is the most consistent service and it’s a local franchise.

We haven't stayed since the shutdown, and the upgrades are amazing! Love the rooms and decor. Very comfy bed. The breakfast is delicious and well worth waking up for. We always get our souvenirs here. The staff is so friendly! Now...about that balcony! This was clearly previously the roof of an overhead area downstairs. There are some fake plastic "deck" pieces badly laid down across the entire thing. The plants are fake. You have 0 privacy while on the balcony if any of the rooms on the third or fourth floors in the northern wing of the hotel. The view is mostly of the pool, the parking lot, and the back of the Denny's, which has a broken rattling air conditioner unit that makes loud noise all night. The mini fridge is quite loud all night as well. The scent of the toiletries needs a big update, it's not pleasant. We will continue to stay here but the balcony suite will be a pass until they update it.
