The property’s guest WiFi (which on their sign said gust WiFi) wasn’t available. None of the ice machines were working. They are clearly understaffed; because we tried to check in a little early, they had a sign up saying due to staffing issues, we won’t be able to check anyone in before 4 pm. My room didn’t have a full length mirror.

Our stay was memorable but not in a good way. I checked in and got the cards to get in the room. Went up to the second floor and the keys didn’t work. Went back down and let them know. The lady was very nice and very helpful. I went back up and the keys still didn’t work. I went back down and she gave me a master room card and we were able to get in our room. Awhile later, I thought I heard the door click. A few minutes later, the employee ran the key card and opened the door while we were in the room. We slept with the chair in front of the door. This hotel has a pool but it was FREEZING and not maintained. The hot tub was green and out of order. Continental breakfast was put out and we came about 8:30 and everything was empty and the area was a huge mess. The phone was ringing and there wasn’t anybody there to answer the phone. I cleaned up the kitchen area the best I could and we had cereal and a waffle. The waffle machine was also not maintained and cleaned. Positive note- the bed was very comfortable… the bottom sheets do not fit the mattress so they came off in the night. My child gave this a 1 out 5 rating.

When we checked in they did not tell us their pool was closed for our kids.. at 2 am the fire alarm went off.. at 3 am the fire alarm went off again.. so we did not get any sleep at all needless to say. in the morning we tried to take a shower.. and there was no water in the bathroom at all. we asked the front desk what was up they were rude and obviously didn't know or cared... did not offer any refund for any of it and i filed a complaint with hilton to get my money back. I don't blame the guy, he was doing all the check-ins, check-outs, prepaired and took down all the breakfast, was doing all the laundry and cleaning all the rooms.. by him self..

Thiis is Hampton?? What.the hell happened to tjis property?? Must be franchise owned...verry old property very dated felt lije went back to 1988..lol..not clean poor staff cleaning i guess? Breakfast was a joke! And the towles and especially the sheets were dingy! Try some colrox in that wash!! Shower dirty tiles! Ugh! What happened ro the Hampton quality,? Wont ever stay at this one again in Canon City,CO

horrible experience

After driving for several hours we arrived around 4:30, check in was supposed to be at 3pm. The front desk took 30 minutes to find my reservation. I was sent to my room with my key cards, that did not work. When I hauled our bags back down to the front I was told that they would need to change the batteries to the key card lock on the door. I went back up with my bags and waiting about 20 minutes for them to come replace batteries, at which time she left my keys downstairs and said she would be back. After 20 minutes of waiting I went back down to the desk that was empty and rang the bell, I was given new keys by a different employee that also didn't work. I came back to the desk and explained that I was trying to be patient, but that this was rediculous. I was told that the other employee's master key card didn't work either. I'm unsure why they issued me new keys if the master key card didn't work? I then told them I needed to run to the store and I would be back as I was told they would need to call someone. After returning around 6pm, there was no progress. I was told they would give us a different room and then the employee disappeared, after another 30 minutes of waiting I inquired again and was told that employee was cleaning our new room. We were finally let into the new room around 8pm only to find that we did not have any toilet paper. Extremely disastified with this stay.

I have stayed at Hampton Inns for years across the US. This one was a disappointment. The staff was helpful on the phone and when we got checked in, however the room was not really clean and the facilities have not been updated. There were construction workers that stayed there and left mud and cement chunks all up and down the halls. The breakfast had hot scrambled eggs but no salt or pepper. The coffee was good but creamer was in a giant powdered keg not 1/2 and 1/2 as were available at other Hampton locations. Basically it looks like the owners don't care to update facilities or spend anything on the hotel. Will look elsewhere next time we travel to Canyon City.

I never thought a Hampton hotel would be this bad. They were seriously understaffed. They had the people cooking the breakfast then cleaning rooms, then answering phones. One morning, a guest told a staff member about their attitude and their response was: "I don't care" and he told her he would report her, she yelled (loud) back: "Good for you!" Then another person cleaning the tables yelled, "Please report this, maybe they'll send people to help!" Everything was dirty, no manager on duty... I would never go back! I have pictures of how filthy the furniture was but this review won't let me post it.

I don’t think I have stayed in a worse hotel. To begin with myself and other guest could not get the keycards to work. They ended up giving me a master key after multiple tries to get a key to work. The room did not have the complete hardware to secure the door which would be beneficial when the fight in the hallway was going on. All night there were voices music and door slamming and that doesn’t include the two fights we heard. The next morning when we went to have breakfast there was little to no food left and were told there were no cups to even get coffee. All in all it was the worst stay I’ve ever had.
