Chateau Noland is located half way between LA and SF a stone's throw from the world famous Highway 1 and US 101. We are minutes from several beaches, bike trails, world famous wine tasting, and the idyllic downtown San Luis Obispo. The property boasts incredible views of the Avila Valley and the surrounding oak-covered hills. The architecture of the main house (the "Castle"), Carriage House, and surrounding grounds will make you feel as if you have been transported to France's Loire Valley.

Beautiful property
Beautiful property. The host was wonderful. The cottage was very charming and the bed was very comfortable. Although there was no air conditioning we were very comfortable with the twmowrature juat by opwning windows. We would stay there again.

Great find and will definitely return. Only thing that could have improved was that the TV did not work and when I messaged the property managers they never responded. Not the biggest deal but it would have made rest time for kids a bit easier on the parents :)

Great relaxing getaway
My husband and I were looking for a nice place to relax and escape the hustle and bustle of life. Also to social distance for Covid. Castle Noland is the perfect place. Beautiful grounds and a nice clean comfortable apartment. The bed was so comfy. Close to several beaches, shopping and great restaurants

Our Experience
Overall the guest house is clean and quiet. However, travelers should be aware there is no AC. This may be listed on the property description-but we missed it. So, if you are traveling when the weather is hot, be advised that there is only a fan. Second-the (1) bed/matress is dated and not level and worn. For us, this made sleeping very hard. We did not get a good night sleep as the bed is very uneven due to years of use. If you are OK with the above, it is a simple and clean place for a stay.

Charming and comfortable stay
What a lovely and unique overnight stay! It was so fun to stay on the Castle Noland grounds, and I can imagine how gorgeous it is for weddings! Very easy check-in process and good communication with the owner. The apartment was clean and comfortable and it was nice to have a full kitchen and extra space for my 2 year old to play. We had a great time!
