We were very glad this property had a pool and hot tub. It was clean and well maintained. There was ongoing construction on the building right next to the pool during the day which was annoying but not limiting. Parking was convenient. The room we were given was unexpectedly large and roomy with a couch and desk. Breakfast choices were limited but it was nice that selected items were delivered to the room free of charge.

Vacations Inn Solvang is apparently under going a renovation. The part of the hotel that we were staying in has not been touched yet. The screen door for the patio is falling apart as is the framing for the sliding glass doors. We had to ask that housekeeping come in and bring fresh towels and take out the trash. On or last day (today) the elevator was out of service. I flt really bad about that due to the fact I did see at least to guests that where in wheelchars.

Five of us stayed in the 3 queen loft room. Perfect! Roomy and comfortable and clean. The beds were the most comfortable ever slept in! Pillows were even perfect. Quiet. Shower....loved it! We did not want to leave. Luxury at an economy price. Actually would plan another trip in order to stay again. Friendly staff as well.

My husband and I were given a room that was already taken by another family. We had no idea and as we made our way into the room and open the door with the key card we heard voices and realized that was not normal. The man from the other side of the room propped his head into the door and said the room was taken. I showed him the key card sleeve with the room number written on it and told him this room was given to us by reception. We apologized for the inconvenience and made our way to the lobby to inform the receptionist about the situation. The receptionist, Michael, only apologized once and consulted with this manager about the situation. They got us another room, however, never did the manager or Michael offer a sincere apology or a courtesy something. I would have probably been more understanding if I had just booked the room on that day. Yet, this was not the case. My reservation was done a month in advance. So imagine my surprise when I get to a room I had previously reserved and it’s already taken. Needless to say it put a damper into what could have been an enjoyable one night stay at this hotel.

They need to do some maintenance on the place in general. It takes forever (20min) at least for hot water to reach the shower.
