Gr8stay checked in went to room good view over grounds wnt 4 a swim staff in pool helpful and polite same t main reception had a lovely eve meal had2 oder at bar only 1 member of staff sso ad 2 wait a while to b served gr8 bacon chop my. Wife had a fisfinger sandwich that she loved long time since having them and hand made lovely IPA x2 and a pepsi brakfast wel whata selection coked beackfast pastries ham and other cold meat fresh fruits pineapple melon and fresh berries smoothie fruit juice tea coffee wowza fast check out we ill b bback thanks to all staff my one jibe neds more staff b hind bar 4 foodd and drink ordering over all out of 10 it a big 9 and a half from us

Lovely hotel & location

This is a very nice hotel in a good location with a nice restaurant & bar. Only negative for us was the location of the room as our room was next to the fire doors which are closed at night so every time someone went through them the door would bang.

I always stay here when I am on business for the last few years All very good including all the staff But the breakfast options in the morning have gone down hill Please bring back small boxes of cereal and yogurt cartons plus juice cartons as well

Disappointing

We booked this for an overnight family stay due to the pool, the air-con and the proximity to Thorpe Park. We checked the IHG website the day before to see that the pool was open until 10pm, but when we checked in a 7pm, we were told that the children weren't allowed in the pool after 7pm and that the pool closed at 8pm for adults too, as a result we had 2 very upset boys. We then went to go for dinner in the hotel, as the website said that "Kids eat free", but the bar staff didn't seem to know anything about the offer, so we had to "prove" it, by showing them the page on their own website. On top of this, the hotel room wall had some sort of red stain/mould across it and the bathroom door was water damaged and warped, so overall not a great stay.
