This review is no reflection of the Marriot South shore facilities. More a refeltion of the Marriot in general. Tahoe freeways were impacted by huge storms that closed hwy80 and at times hay 50 due to snow and avalanche. This to me is an “act of god”. I put in a cancellation 5 days ahead of time as the authorities (Cal Trans, CHP, Tahoe Advisory folks) implored people to stay home and not be on the road. Marriott refused to refund my payment stating “you did not purchase the insurance for the trip”. Its not like I canceled because of my own purposes. Did not even offer a future credit. Just a loss of close to $1500. Just very disappointed in Tahoe Marriott Residence Inn. If someone from Marriott wants to reach out to me you have my contact. I will also be adding a Yelp review of this as well. I will be disputing this charge through my bank!
