Overall start rating 5 besides entertainment and amenities (talking about basketball court,fusball and pool table) since you had to provide your ID to get the balls and parts for the games that were missing. I personally think that all the equipment should be readily available for people to use at all times, why don't you buy more basketballs and have them stored in a large bins at the court so people can enjoy the game! Unfortunately when the weather isn't great there isn't much to do and extra stuff are only available for members only. A huge thank you to the kitchen staff for accommodating our sons Celiac disease and his special dietary needs. Ricoroberto was excellent and he made sure that every piece of food was prepared safely for him and every day he was asked what he would like to eat so it wasn't repetitive. One night the kitchen chef came out and brought a GF dessert for him, we were very happy. I can confidently say that this place is Celiac safe ands friendly and that's hard to find even in US.

Do not recommend this hotel. Food is terrible, out of 7 days we had maybe 2 dicent meals, the rest was garbage . All 3 of the family members got sick, even though we were very picky what we eat. Food is reheated 2-3 times, bread is stale , chicken reused in salads next day, potato reheated and looking at the pizza paper that we found , was brought from outside buffet near the pool where it was sitting all day in the heat. They dont know how to use a thermometer - they place it on the bottom of the heated dish. Drinks are all diluted - juices, even soda with what feels like a tap water. Ask for cans and bottles and make sure bottles are sealed . Do not drink anything with ice! Ice looks like is going from the same source- tap water or i dont have explanation of our sickness, last 4 days we ate bread, omlets and fruits .Hotel by itself is nice, but I will never rely on travelocity ratings , the rating is barely 6 , not 8 . Restaurants are a joke , one page of menue including everything , food looks like a reheated TV dinner, IF reheated , but you have to reserve it 24 hours in advance and if you are late they charge $20. Never again.

Staff were great, pool staff were super attentive. Other than pool snacks (pizza/burgers), the food was super mid. Buffet food was always cold. Restaurants were better but they’re in dire need of a new dessert chef- didn’t take more than a bite of any of them. And I don’t consider myself a picky eater at all! Also not enough umbrellas in general, but they didn’t even have enough for the stands they had drilled into the ground (so not movable). Made it hard with the baby. Overall, pretty standard, but I chose this one to allegedly have slightly better food than others and this was not the case.

The resort itself was on the smaller side, but it was clean, comfortable and the staff were friendly & welcoming. The drinks were very good however I was very disappointed with the quality and quantity selection of the food. My Fiancé even got food poisoning. They also don’t have many entertainments at the resort. The most significant issue involved a scam-like timeshare sales presentation that wasted three hours of my vacation. Front desk staff deceptively directed me to "representatives" who promised a simple breakfast and presentation with free massages for the resort`s anniversary celebration. Upon meeting the same guy, the next morning at the Solaris Royal when, as he was escorting us, he told us to lie about our age and marital status to the lady (lets call her Nancy) who was about to join us. Nancy then took us to a table in the buffet where she joined us for breakfast when she started talking about investing in the property . Long story short we spent 3 hours being passed down from one person to the next for them to try and sell us a membership. After we refused the offer. They gave us the free massage coupons only for us to get to the resort and be told by the spa that they do not have any available time to schedule our massages during our stay. Mind you the spa`s interior is transparent and I have not seen a single guest in that spa for the entire 3 days I was there. It is safe to say I will not be revisiting this resort.

Decent hotel. Towels are so old they feel like sandpaper. Don’t fall for their scam of picking you up from the airport for free then they bill you at checkout. Food is not the best. Be ready to eat omelettes and pizza. I didn’t even bother with dinner there.

Very nice beach. The staff was excellent. Food ok, elevator is very slow, if you don’t need it use the stairs. A lot of families go here so if you don’t want to deal with kids this is not your place

GR Solaris is a nice resort overall. The hotel was clean and comfortable, the beach and pool areas were beautiful, and the staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The food was just okay, but we were still able to find things we enjoyed. A good option for a relaxing beach vacation.

Good room service,prompt responce from the front desk. Good food,three restaurants with different menu's. Great grill bar at the swimming pool. Pool bar could be better, drinks very blended and have the same taste. The biggest problem for us was smoking neighbors. Even hotel reinforced non smoking rules,people didn't care and keep smoking without any serious problems. Its very frustrating that we have to deal with this situation, because nobody wants to seat with closed door in the beach front room instead of breathing a fresh sea air. We had to change our room on the 3rd day of our stay because of our smoking neighbors. Management done all efforts to fix smoking problem but its nearly impossible to deal vith rude and disrespectful people who don't care about rules. We had great birthday at the beach and staff helped us to accommodate all our needs. Great place and very good employees!

This resort was beautiful, staff was amazing! The rooms were super clean, cleaned daily and everything kept stocked! Also loved how clean the pool area was. You would see workers out there daily cleaning and scrubbing everything! They were all so welcoming! If I had to say a negative thing at all, the only thing would be the food was not our favorite. This is the second resort we have stayed in, in Cancun, and the last one by far had better food! The food was good still just nothing that stood out! We also loved how there was always entertainment, they always had something going on!
