Beach vendors allowed on beach chairs & stairs so leaving your valuables to enjoy the ocean feels unsafe. The beach vendors are permitted on the property stairs so every time you enter or exit the beach you are constantly harassed to purchase an item no matter how many times they have asked you previously. Then they are permitted at the pool and the spa area in the afternoons to harass the pool clientele. They are also smoking marijuana on the beach and cigarettes at the pool, when we were informed at arrival of a hefty charge if we did not smoke in designated areas. My husband was offered to purchase marijuana by the vendor with the white sunglasses who seems to have some kind of relationship with the staff. We noticed that at the end of the day, the beach vendors were allowed to exit off the side property and through the side alley into the street. We asked a female manager about the vendors and was told there was not enough security to monitor the beach gate but it appears as though this property has some kind of understanding with these vendors and overall make it an unsafe environment. I was interested in the massage, but there was no way I was going to get a massage with those vendors coming and going at will behind me while trying to relax with a massage. The United States issued a level 2 Do Not Travel the day before our trip began but we had been to this resort 3 times before and felt like as long as we stayed on the resort we would be safe. NOPE

Great location- quick walk or uber ride to many locations. Fun for the whole family- our teenage children also had a great time! A friendly and helpful staff- we saw sea turtles on the beach and planned several excursions with the assistance of the hotel staff.

This hotel is rated 4.4 stars and is far from it. There is limited food options for dinner plus the difficulty to get a reservation in the other two or three restaurants. The buffet area needs to be kept more clean. At the front desk staff needs more customer service training and need more staff in this area. The night life is limited to shows staring at 9pm and after the show there is nothing else to do. The staff does their best, but clearly need more training. The food option at the pool area were just okay. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The steps to get to the main pools were slippery. The deli was a highlight on this trip, service was great and coffee options were great. The relaxing pool and its waiters were very attentive. The staff in the main entrance were great. First, there were hidden fees for foreigners. Second, Non working ATM machine for the four days I was there. Third, Do not bother with the alcohol as it is not good. Fourth, the drain in my bathroom was clogged and caused an Overflow from the drip as the faucet did not properly shut off. There was water all over the floor in our bathroom and in our room. They sent a maintenance worker to service the bathroom sink. However, there was so much water we had to use all of our towels to dry the bathroom and bedroom floors. Even our luggage and clothing got wet. They sent someone to clean only after I complained about the water over the floor. I spent 3 hours on a Friday night dealing with this issue. Fifth, as you can imagine after this ordeal I went to get a free drink at the bar downstairs which was advertised as closing at 11pm or midnight. Cannot remember but it was ten minutes till closing time and the manager tried telling me that it was over. That he could not help me and was not going to argue with me because he had already closed everything off. While I understood his swn Food was not bad and the workers of the main large dining room gave amazing customer service. All staff except for the front desk and the lady trying to sell you a time share were kind and super helpful.

Property is beautiful, my ocean view room was the best view to see the entire pool area & ocean beyond. The property is on the beach so the beach is just a few minutes walk from your room. Food was okay, each day there were Hispanic dishes served in the buffet. For break There was usually a chef making fresh omelettes & tacos for how you like. you can make reservations at 4 of the on site . restaurants including oriental and Mediterranean cuisine. Most of the service staff were very friendly during meal service. Some of the staff girls checking guests in for buffet service need some additional training g on being more professional. They shouldn’t be openly flirting with their manager while guests are waiting to be checked in to the buffet. I would book again since the location is gorgeous, but probably during cooler season (if there is one for Cancun)

We stayed at GR Solaris for 4 days and nights. With an all inclusive package, It was a great experience. Great service specially on the dining side. Food options are good but I know they can do better with the quality of ingredients they have, specially on the different cuisines they serve, different days, on Dinner time. Bartenders are great with what they do, even servers too,very hospitable, so kudos to that. In the booking of reservations for the specialty restaurants, you have to book as early as possible to get in smoothly instead of having your name on the waiting list. For rooms, can't complain as we just chose one with balcony facing lagoon,which still gave us a nice view, oceanviews are for extra charges or if you are a member of the hotel company. There is an occasional power outage once or twice a day, but they come back between 5-10 minutes, happened to me when I was using the washroom but not a big deal. Front desk team are doing great on their job. I found out about activities on their hotel app, but have no idea how to join in, I guess you just have to show up on the location of the hotel it shows, hoping to have the option to just click "Join" in their hotel app so that I don't missed the ones that I wanted to participate. For the Tours, they have the concierge to assist you to get a day tour. It was great, prices are reasonable, gained much knowledge from the places we've been at, the tour guide and the driver were a great team. Hope to come back again soon.

If you’re looking to lose weight on vacation then this is the place to go food was terrible! Staff is so unfriendly and if you need help with a problem well that falls on you they don’t care to help. I should have known at check in how the stay was going to be but we gave it the benefit of doubt because we are so easy to please!! Couldn’t eat at any of the restaurants because if the app did work everything was full. Emailed corporate while we were there because our stay was so horrible and never heard back. You cant convince me that people aren’t getting paid for good reviews of this place. Stay far away!!!!! I never leave reviews but I can’t let others waste their money! Also they don’t start serving alcohol until 11!!! But you can enjoy the two 8 oz beers they give you in your fridge before then if you want. Place is a joke! Oh and our welcome to the resort party was scheduled for the day that we left. So welcoming
