This is our fourth time in that hotel, we just love it. We just came back from there on April 15, 2025. Excellent service, clean rooms, plenty of delicious food. All staff members are great: Vera- she works in lobby is a great person, who makes your check-in easy and fast. Also waitresses are so good, I remember some names: Roger, Hector, Patricia, Karla, Angel, Alfredo, Neftali, Ernesto (manager of Tratatoria), Miguel, Mayki, Viktor and others. Our room maid was awesome: room was spotless and super clean. We would be back for sure. Great hotel where work great people. I just want to say thank you to each of them for making our vacation so great

The property was great for my family of 5. They could use more staff as the wait for food and drinks was unexpected at an all-inclusive. Overall though, would recommend this property. Quiet, but with enough stuff going on to keep you interested. (They could use a night show however)

Property was very clean, and taken care of. Staff upon arrival were very friendly, especially Reynaldo. Room service was great and no complaints there. The only thing I did not care for was the first few minutes we were there a lady tried to get us to go to a timeshare. Some wait staff were not very friendly at the buffet, and sometimes took a while to get our bill/keycard back. Breakfast at the buffet was great, lunch and dinner was ok.

Staff was friendly, rooms were clean and food was delicious! This was a lowkey hotel and as a family of 5 we loved it! Nice option to take a shuttle to the royal sands for the waterpark! Kids club was very busy and the painting activities cost extra unfortunately. Also there was a sanitation charge on my bill every day, which i was told was a government fee that i wasnt expecting especially since you have to pay a visit tax to the Quintana roo region.

I would give it a 4.5 stars if I could. We spent 5 all-inclusive nights at the Royal Cancun. We knew before booking that this was a smaller, quieter resort. We are a family of 5 with two teens and a child. The room was exceptionally comfortable with ample room for us all. It was very clean and housekeeping was thorough during our stay. We loved that they are generous with towels and supplies. They kept our fridge stocked with bottled water and drinks. We found the air conditioning to be very effective but very loud which would disturb sleep at night. We loved the beach. People set out towels to save places REALLY early but we always found beach chairs. We loved the beach bars and ate mainly at the Lapalapa and really enjoyed our meals and variety offered and special touches with decor on themed nights. Our child was hesitant to try the food but there were always things we could order that were more familiar and favorable. There was about a 30 min wait at dinner time if you arrived between 7-8pm, otherwise we didn't wait long to be seated. We all loved the Banana Monkey drinks. Visibility wasn't great for snorkeling but we managed to see some sea life. Some staff were friendlier than others but we always got what we needed when we asked. The pools were enjoyable. We played tennis in the evening. Everything you need for activities is easily available at the sports desk. Our room was next to the adults only resort-music played loudly until 11pm. Loved the resort activities.

We enjoyed our stay at the Royal Cancun Resort. We first met with Carlos our Concierge who is so friendly and helpful. He provided details on the hotel and asked about our plans and then provided great tips for our stay. All the staff we crossed paths with greeted us and when we got lost they even walked us to where we were trying to get to. We opted to do the ocean front family villa and the unit did not disappoint. Our kids enjoyed watching the pirate ships come by every evening. It’s 2 stories so the separation from the kids and other family members was nice. We did have to move rooms on Saturday which caused some inconvenience of having to pack up, wait for the other room to be cleaned, and then unpacking again. There was also communication issues about if we were to leave our bags or take them with us. We ended up making it a pool day since we had to wait around. The beach is calm and perfect for small kids. We visited the sister resort for bigger waves to play in. I am only giving the resort 4 stars because I felt the food options were lacking. We also didn’t understand having to provide our room key at meals when we all had wrist bands. Ordering from pool side took on average 30-40 mins to get what we ordered. Room service food orders on average 45 mins. I would suggest calling a day ahead to make dinner reservations. Sign up for the bus to the sister resort could only be done 30 mins before going so make sure you plan ahead to get on the list to go.

Perfect Relaxing Getaway for Families Our family of four absolutely loved this resort. Everything was spotless, and the grounds were beautifully maintained. The beach was calm and perfect for relaxing. The food was pleasant, and the overall atmosphere was very laid back — ideal for anyone looking to unwind. If you’re after a party scene, this probably isn’t the place for you, but for us, it was perfect. We felt completely safe during our stay, and the staff went above and beyond to make our vacation memorable. We had an amazing time and definitely plan to return!
