Rememberance - Oregon Beach Vacations

Rememberance - A Cottage At The Cove is a fairy-tale Honeymoon cottage that will tug at your hearts to return year after year. This 1930's fishing cottage has been fully renovated to a luscious suite specifically designed for a couple to relax enjoy themselves and life. This studio-type home allows you to enjoy the openness of the great room which enhances the cozy and romantic feeling of the cottage. Absorb the peaceful view sounds of the surf and enchanting ocean-air from the deck. Lavish in the warmth of the Jacuzzi tub for two or comforting rain-shower. Dine at area restaurants or prepare your romantic meal in the thoughtfully equipped kitchen. Stroll through the area shops and galleries visit the World's Smallest Harbor and enjoy the natural Spouting Horn from atop the seawall which Depoe Bay is well known for. Remembrance is located on a cliff directly on the cove where you can watch the whales as they play on the rocks of the cove. As there is no fence, please watch your step while looking over the edge. During storms the water creates foam balls in the cove and shoots them at our cottage. Remembrance is only blocks to all the shops and restaurants in Depoe Bay.

Location was amazing - there is no longer a bench by the cliff/cave, but you can still sit and enjoy the beautiful view. Ceiling fan and top of fridge were very dirty - had to dust the fan before we could use it. Other than that the place was clean. If you are staying a long time it would be hard to find somewhere to put your food. Kitchen was well stocked - it is as described a really cute tiny house. The walk to the end of the street where you could see whales every day - made it even more incredible. Could walk to town. Great meal at Tidal Rave - and whale watching boat tour added to the fun. Would recommend to any couple. Communication did not come from VRBO but another company so be aware as it won't show up in your VRBO app, only your email.

Beautiful!

This was an absolutely beautiful location, the views were completely breathtaking. The food at the local restaurant was amazing, and the local beaches were so fun to explore. We had a great time walking and driving around, and just hanging out around the rental! We'd love to stay here again in the future.

Absolutely wonderful! One small issue though
the bed corner going into the bathroom is way too close to the fireplace. This caused 2 bruises on my leg and my husband stubbed his toe. Ouch! It’s okay, we survived. Thank you for everything! This place is serene. We loved our stay. Cute decor! :)

Nice studio. Bed a bit soft for me but I’m picky. Tub/shower is cool but open to the entire space - so make sure you know each other really well or you will by the end of your stay!

Very comfortable. My friend and I stayed for a work conference. The cottage was perfect walking distance to all the amenities in Depot bay. The view was beautiful.

Check in check out difficult. Pictures were misleading. Tv and gas stove did not work well spent a lot of time waiting for someone to fix problems. Was told to look up how to use gas stove on utube

Adorable Cottage with Unique View!

We loved our stay at the cottage. The view was very unique, as it overlooks a gorgeous cliff with a massive cave. You can't beat the sound of the waves crashing against the cliff at sunset. We would definitely recommend that folks who stay here are very comfortable with each other, as the cottage is small and there is no door or separate room to the shower. A perfect couples getaway.

Disappointed

The house itself is fine. Let’s start with check in. I did not receive instructions before we arrived so I messaged through the app and a half hour later still had not heard anything. Finally I called the number provided who contacted the company. Then I got a terse text saying they had sent the email a week previously but that they would send another. Got in the house and there was no window covering for the window that looks directly onto the bed and into the bath/shower area. So I called the number of the rental agency where I was met with a very uncaring attitude and almost rude. I was told that an order had been put in but that I couldn’t be handled until the next day. I said that would not be acceptable as I didn’t even have a place to change without being visable to the outside. The listing name of this place is “honeymoon cottage” so you can imagine that most people come with a romantic weekend in mind and are not looking for an audience. While on the phone with the management company I asked to have the fireplace fixed as we were unable to get it going. We were going to get supper so maintenance would be there most likely while we were gone. As we tried to leave we got trapped in the house. The only lock on the door is a deadbolt and that was unlocked, however the door handle would not work. Hector came and got blinds installed was unable to fix fireplace and also got locked inside so taped the latch so the door could open.
