Depends on what you want
Please pay close attention to the note I've quoted below which is toward the bottom of the information given about the rental on VRBO. This property might be exactly what you want or it might not work for you at all.
The downstairs unit has two bedrooms and two baths, a living room with a pull-out couch, dining area, and kitchen, which is no longer as well stocked as some reviews have indicated. The pool, which is smaller than the photo suggests, is right outside this unit.
The stairways to the two suites on the second floor are both on the poolside and streetside, and they are outside this unit and totally separate from it.
The third floor is up another set of stairs which are outside the units and also totally separate from the others.
The pool is shared by all renters, regardless of whether they are part of the same group, and it is quite small.
The view of the ocean from the property is beautiful, but it is not swimmable, nor is there a walkable beach.
The whole property is much more like a motel than a house or hotel, even if all three floors are rented by one group.
If you want a feel for life on Isla Mujeres rather a touristy situation, it's in a great location. It's also close to the ferry but pretty far from North Beach, though it is walkable.
