Country Pines Cottage - 1000 SQ/FT in the country - Peaceful & Relaxing

Welcome to Country Pines Cottage! Our one level, open floor plan cottage is located on a quiet, private road in the beautiful countryside of Westby, WI. The cottage is close to many local attractions, hiking trails, trout fishing, Amish community, canoeing, and much more. Here you will find a peaceful setting to sip your morning coffee as you look over the hillside of hay fields and farm crops. If you are visiting in the Fall, touring the area’s colorful foliage is breathtaking. Close by you will find local apple orchards, wineries, and all that the Driftless Area has to offer.

This charming 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom cottage comfortably accommodates up to five guests. The kitchen is fully stocked and features brand-new appliances, making it easy to whip up your favorite meals. Step out onto the deck to enjoy a meal from the gas grill, or unwind around the outdoor fire pit—perfect for telling stories and roasting marshmallows under the stars (please bring your own firewood).

All bedding, towels, dish soap, and other essentials are provided for your stay. Surrounded by open farmland and wildlife like deer, pheasants, and rabbits, this peaceful retreat offers a perfect escape into nature. On clear nights, don’t forget to look up—shooting stars are a regular sight in the expansive night sky.

The farmhouse cottage is located in the country, yet close to everything you might want to experience. For the outdoorsy, we are close to Class 1 fishing streams, the famous Driftless area where hiking, ATV, horseback riding trails are abundant, and the Kickapoo river for canoeing. Are you a shopper? You can take in the Amish shops and visit local antique stores. The cottage is centrally located to all the attractions.

We come annually to the eestby area to visit family and this is the perfect spot for our family of 4 to retreat to at noght or from the heat of the day. Close to amish treats and the kickapoo river. We had all the amenities we needed for a weekend stay.

Was nice and clean, owner stocked us up with extra towels to accommodate our stay! Even had the AC pre-set so it was cool during the heat wave when we arrived, We would come again.The only issue is that the loveseat can be sticky if sat on for long periods of time.

Perfect Country Getaway

Country Pines Cottage was the perfect choice for a quiet getaway weekend. The cottage is cozy, comfortable and comes stocked with everything needed for a homey, relaxing stay. Our hosts were so welcoming, kind and responsive to our every need. The absolute icing on the cake is the location. So beautifully situated in a lovely country neighborhood near the town of Westby it provided easy access to all the beauty and activities available in the Driftless region. We will definitely return and recommend to any and all who seek a moment to rewind, relax and reconnect with the beauty of this lovely corner of the Driftless region.

We have stayed here before and love the place. I know I will be back again in the future.Meticulously clean and well decorated. Great location as it is close to downtown Westby and not far from Viroqua.Easy check-in and check-out.One of the best VRBOs I have stayed at.

The cottage was very nice and convenient to Westby. I had a big problem with the heavily scented sheets, pillow cases, throw blankets and towels. Whatever laundry detergent and/or fabric softener being used had an overwhelming and unpleasant scent that gave me a headache. I needed to air out my pillows. I kindly suggest using unscented detergent and fabric softener which is multi-guest friendly.

Wonderful attention to details

This property is immaculately cared for, private, and includes little touches which show its owners want you to enjoy your stay. We enjoyed the fire pit with wood provided, outside chairs, gas grill and amenities within ranging from games and books to little touches that made us feel welcome. Highly recommend this cottage.

Beautiful cottage

We had a wonderful weekend getaway here. The cottage had everything we needed, location was in the beautiful Amish country side, the stars were really pretty at night and we loved hanging by the fire pit. Hope to rent again soon!

Great Country Cottage!

The cottage and property were great -- beautiful rolling hills of farmland. The house had plenty of room and was clean. And our host, Jenny, was very responsive and accommodating. Thanks Jenny!! We will be back.
