Dated, but fun

We chose this hotel specifically for the pool, and it was impressive. The plants were all well taken care of, the live fish were entertaining, and the open roof was lovely. There were always enough chairs, and it was fantastic to see so many attentive lifeguards. The slide was really fun! The pool is showing some signs of age, but it's all very safe. The hot tub was HOT, and I loved it. The room was close to the pool, but not poolside (as we requested) so it was nice and quiet. I'm hoping these rooms are scheduled for renovation soon. The bathroom was not in the greatest repair - the toilet paper holder was inconveniently placed and only half attached to the drywall for one. Also, the blackout curtains fell about 6 inches short so the room was lit all night. But, the beds were super comfortable and clean, and that was the most important thing. Overall, the hotel was clean and the staff was very nice. We didn't use the arcade, but it was bigger than expected, full of modern games, and looked like fun. The restaurant attached to the hotel was convenient, but we waited over 30 min for food that wasn't particularly good. However, many other restaurants and stores were within walking distance, so it didn't impact our trip too much.

The pool and waterslide were a lot of fun and the highlight of the stay. I was a bit disappointed that the hours weren’t better for room service. I tried to order but it was too late. I had also requested housekeeping and it wasn’t done. The bed wasn’t very comfortable. Staff at the front desk were very helpful, friendly and welcoming. Check in went smoothly.

Overall positive stay but some issues. Deposit fees were unexpectedly high and the rooms are dated with obvious wear and tear on bathroom fixtures. However the staff was very good, the hotel is overall clean and the pool area, which is the main attraction, is excellent. Parking was also very easy and there are many dining options nearby.

A great stay cation.

The bed was okay. A little hard for my liking but more firm, then hard. We really liked the pool and waterslide. We didn't like that check-in was at 4pm. It seems a little late. You are paying for the night and you only get from 4pm one night until 11am the next morning. With that being said our room was ready at 3pm and the key was given to us at 3:00pm. So that was amazing. The staff were polite and really friendly.
