I would recommend this resort if you are not very picky with cleanliness. In overall it looks okay but I wish the bedrooms were more clean and beds more comfortable. Also the kitchen cabinets are just painted outside and look like new on the pictures, but actually they are very old and nasty inside. However, the location was great, just steps from the beach, the view from the balcony was beautiful and the manager Justin was very friendly and polite.
Very disappointed by the difficulty of moving our things into the unit. Buildings have one ramp access at the far end of the 3 section building, then you have to drag everything all the way back through the building sections to get to the condo. listing indicated entrances and elevators for each section, but failed to say there is only one ramp on either side of the building at the far end. The carpets were old & dirty, the tile floors didn't appear to have a good cleaning in some time, in fact the living room carpet looked quite worn and dirty. I paid a cleaning fee, then was threatened with an additional fee if we failed to follow instructions for garbage removal, furniture placement, clean the stove & refrigerator, wash and replace dishes in cabinets, etc. I'm surprised they didn't instruct us to scrub the toilets. The pool located nearest us was closed for our last two days. Absolutely no shade at that pool and only lounge chairs that are difficult to get in & out of. One table with an umbrella located at the other pool at the very far back end of building A. I could go on, but just have to say, we won't be going back to MBR in the future. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention that it is overrun with cats and geese.
The condo was dated and needs a deep cleaning. Was very dirty on the walls, behind garbage cans, couch (had to move for pull out). Main right burner on stove didn't work properly. Very sandy on floors when we got there. Beds in 2nd bedroom were so tiny and that wasnt really properly disclosed on listing. The picture on the lieting of off of the balcony makes it seem like that water park belongs to the resort but it doesn't. Kids had to stare at something they couldn't go to. Master Bed so uncomfortable my back still hurts. Parking was a nighmare. Plus sides: easy access from stairs, balcony was big, priced decent. Pools clean and fun, great beach access, 2 snack bars. Great location. Very safe.
We have been going to this resort for years. This was one of our better rentals . The beds where comfortable and we where able to unwind and relax. We had a great stay..
I was supposed to stay at this unit for 31 nights and left after 8 nights, knowing I would have to drive half way back across the country. The complex kind of reminds me of a "budget friendly" roach motel. The check in process was fine - they have a drop box that they put your welcome packet in after hours - it's supposed to be locked but it was not. The unit has a musty smell to it so I went to the store and bought air fresheners immediately after arriving. The kitchen and bathrooms were pretty clean. However, there were stains on the carpet in the bedrooms and the curtains were filthy (lots of reddish stains). I drove for 3 days to get here and when I got to the unit, I wanted to take a shower. However, there were no towels. I reached out to property management and was told that they don't provide towels for stays longer than 28 days (I was never made aware of this). Later on in the evening, I went to crawl into bed and there were no sheets on the bed (or the other 2 beds in the second bedroom). The next day, I reached out to property management again and was told that absolutely no linens are provided for stays longer than 28 days. If I had known this, I would have planned ahead. Additionally, there was construction going on the entire time I was there, which is fine and a necessary part of property upkeep, but another thing I wasn't made aware of. Furthermore, I found many bugs in the unit, to the point that it was extremely unsettling and I slept in my car for 2 nights. Communication with property management was decent but concerns were brushed off. When I reached out to VRBO to ask for a refund, they put the property manager on the phone who kept asking why I didn't reach out about my issues. I did reach out and was told, for the most part, that my stay was too long for many of my concerns. I was told by the property manager that I should have received an email about the lack of linens - I looked at my email while on the phone and the 2 emails I received in regard to my stay, mentioned nothing about not being provided with linens. I ended up losing a lot of money - very disappointing. Overall, I would not recommend this place and definitely will not be staying here again.
Condo was exactly as described. Great place to stay Close & Convenient to everything. We wanted something close to Lakewood because we had family staying there and the location was perfect. We would certainly recommended going to Murrell's Inlet for dinner.
Description was pretty accurate. Great Location. Super close to the beach. Great amenities at the resort. Loved the pina coladas. While there is tons of parking at the resort, we noticed sometimes it was difficult to get a spot close to our condo. Also you can hear everything going on in the hallways. Overall a nice week long stay.
Balcony was on the water park side of the camp ground so it was very loud out there and you couldnât see much of the ocean unless you were in the far corner of the balcony. The bedroom carpet seemed a little musky/unclean. Other than those two things we loved the convenience of being ocean front and could use the stairs since we were only on the second floor. There was security that drove around so that gave me peace of mind. The beach area was very very packed and tons of the rental chairs took up most of the space so we were always having to walk a great distance to find a spot unless we got out there early. You get a starter supply of paper towels and toilet paper but Iâd suggest buying dish soap/dishwasher soap, hand soap, and extra paper towels and toilet paper.
Property was exactly as described and pictures where exactly what the property looked like.
Was very easy to book and no issues at all. Very easy from check in to check out and we love this property. Definitely want to stay at this location and in this unit again.
We have been staying at the Myrtle Beach Resort for many years. Typically we rent an ocean front, but decided this year that we needed the extra room for our 11 year old. The condo was clean and is super cute. We liked that it was only a short walk to the beach. The bed in the main bedroom was not the most comfortable, but we also understand that when renting...this is something you run into more often than not, so it wouldn't be a reason not to rent this condo. Overall, we would definitely recommend renting! We had a fantastic week and can't wait to go back next year!
