First thing. Your hot breakfast was garbage. If you’re going to run heated food with nothing but a conventional oven (or a microwave?) you need to be sourcing better product from the outside. Start with bacon in some context. Every hotel has a lot of dings and scratches, you’re selling space people are living in, and even if it’s a few days things are going to happen. But there’s no way in !@& hell your revenue can’t afford sandpaper and a bucket or two of paint. I’m not expecting Martha Stewart just show some love to the baseboards & trim. Replacing a couple of the more “marinated” tiles from the drop ceilings wouldn’t hurt either. Last thing. Turning off the water monday night with no warning before check-in was one thing. But when your bathrooms have NO FANS?!?? Really??? Nobody thought that this might be an issue??? Grievances aside, it was a solid visit. The pool was amazing and sand-free, face-to-face service was genuine and sincere. We slept very soundly with no disturbances, as the walls are very quiet. That’s something not enough hotels invest in, which should be one of the most important accommodations you’re paying for. Will we be back? Probably.

Beware of deceptive advertising and a staff that does not understand the meaning of customer service. We booked a king room August 7-11. When we showed up, there was a single bed past the sitting area, clearly a double bed. When I made the staff aware of this, the only response that I got was that the bed was a "hotel standard King" and that this is supposedly standard across all Springhill Suites locations. I travel somewhat frequently for both work and leisure. When traveling alone, I often book a king room. Never have I come across this situation before where the hotel tried to dupe me and tell me that king really means queen. I am inclined to make a complaint with the Florida Tourism Board because for $250 a night plus the $25 per night mandatory parking fee, I expect a higher level of service, let alone constantly being told by the staff to go pound sand every time I had a complaint. The only saving grace is the location and the pool/beach area. In addition to the issue with the beds, many of the common areas and rooms are showing signs of age and use. The water pressure was largely non-existent during our stay, and on the day we checked out, we were told that the hotel was shutting off the water from 11 PM to 6 AM and that only bottled water would be available during that time (luckily we had already checked out). Any time we had any complaint whatsoever, the standard answer from the staff was basically go pound sand. I have never seen such a lack of customer service.

The stay was fine, the room was nice and the view was beautiful. We didn’t get any clean towels the second day of our stay, we understood the room would not be cleaned unless we stayed 3 days, but clean towels would have been nice. The elevators were always crowded and busy, there should have been more. The breakfast was nothing much, and the coffee in the room was sparse. Being charged to park at the hotel seemed excessive. Probably won’t stay here again.

The workers around the pool area were super awesome, Xander, the towel guy was super awesome and set the vibes. The lady's at the front desk were rude and didn't seem to care about the "hospitality" part of their job. The hotel itself was in a great location. The pool was really nice. They really need to do a safety inspection in the lazy river, lots of sharp edges, one little girl sliced her foot open while I was out there. They have a really cool volleyball area.. with no net. Self service laundry was out of service. Beds are super stiff and make a lot of noise. Not enough elevators for size of building, lots of waiting. We ended up taking the stairs a lot.

This was the 2nd time to Springhill. A lot of reviews complaining about it going downhill but I didn't see it at least on the 6th and 1st floor. Everything was clean but I don't get my magnifying glasses out like everyone else does. The breakfast is good, the beds are comfortable and you can't beat the location. However, they allow pets now which is not a deal breaker but does give u pause when deciding on where to stay. To be fair, I only heard barking a few times but if I was staying next to a barking dog, I wouldn't ever go back. The walls are on the thinner side and I could hear our neighbors so I'm sure they could hear us. They didn't bother me so I hope we didn't bother them. The last thing and it's a biggie is parking. You have to pay for parking now which is infuriating. I enjoyed the hotel and ocean but I'm not sure I wanna go back simply because of parking. How ridiculous is that not to include in your prices? The marketing team needs to ponder if getting people into the hotel is worth the added aggregation they face once their there.

Located on a quiet beach between Destin and Pensacola Beach. This area was not over developed. The pool was great for the kids. They had a wonderful ice cream shop. The restaurant, Beach House Social, was the best part for me. We ate there several times.

I talked with hotel the night before arrival and everything was great…I am on a 13 hour road trip and within a few hours of arrival I get a text…NO ROOMS FOR YOU!! So I call and they tell me since I booked with Expedia and the hotel was full capacity reservations were automatically canceled. WRONG!!!

Nice place, but they could do better

The hotel is clean and well located. But we found a few things were in need of improvement. 1) Pool towels. They consistently ran out of pool towels. We had personal beach towels so we managed but c'mon, this is an easy thing to get right. 2) in room coffee - short supply or regular but lots of decaf. 3) A fire alarm went off about 7:30 in the morning. I was downstairs at breakfast and we were told rather quickly it was a false alarm. My wife, on the third floor, knew nothing . The speaker system DID NOT WORK and they were unable to inform others it was a false alarm. Is this a violation? 4) Small nit - the wonderful ice cream place closes too early (9 pm) in season.

Only complaints about the property was we did not receive housekeeping services one day and there was no in-room safe. Neither of these were dealbreakers and we really enjoyed our stay here.

Honest review

The bed wasn’t good but I was so tired at that point it didn’t matter. The water pressure in the bathroom was horrible (at the sink and the shower). The cleanliness should have been better for the money. When you pay to stay at a Marriot, and you get the cleanliness of a Quality Inn, it is upsetting. Even the pool tiles were dirty, green algae dirty. I am a local and I manage the maintenance, pool, and cleaning of the common areas of a property (everything but inside the rooms) my tiles get cleaned every other day… and with the lazy river pool being the main attraction I was shocked that it wasn’t maintained at a much higher standard. If they were charging $100 a night or less then I would expect the issues I ran into, since I paid nearly triple that I was not happy.

Hotel was located in a perfect destination of Navarre Beach. Had a private pier to walk down to the beach, equipped with a rinse station on it. It also had a beautiful pool where you can look out at the ocean. It had a minimal breakfast continental style which was plenty good to start the day. It has a food and drink area located in the pool area. It also has a coffee shop and a Social Kitchen eatery. It was minimal for cleanliness, which was disappointing. That would be considered lack of management I believe. I picked up so much garbage at the pool, down the hallways as well as the elevator. I could see they lack help in that department. The garbage cans were overflowing and were there for 5 nights. The hallways were never vacuumed at all during our stay. On the fourth floor there was a pair of sandals and a hat laying in the hallway for the last three days of our stay. Also there was a Q-tip and a hair tie on the floor for two days until I personally picked them up. The hotel is only seven years old and if it keeps this pattern up in the cleaning/maintenance department it will be a five within the next five years. For the cost of our stay of $1800 I’d expect a much cleaner environment. However that all being said, it hasn’t reached the point of no return if they were to manage the cleaning/maintenance department more thoroughly it’s worth the stay.
