Very enjoyable Christmas

Adorable cabin and our host Kasia was wonderful. The only reason I didn’t give full 5 stars was because the first night the smoke alarms starting intermittently beeping. It stopped for a day then started again. My husband was able to change the battery. These batteries should at least be changed once a year. For a VRBO probably every 6 months. The battery was Kidde, so we believe it was the original one. Kleenex would have been appreciated. Maybe there was one somewhere, but I couldn’t find a food thermometer, and the oven only had one rack, so it was difficult to bake several food items. Kasia texted to let her know if anything was needed, but it was Christmas Eve/Day and I hated to bother her. If it was possible to give 4.5 stars, I definitely would. Overall a wonderful place!

Great place for our weekend getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at your cabin in the woods. It is a charming log cabin that is very well maintained and clean, and well outfitted. Everything we needed was provided in the cabin, from the complete kitchen to the ample supply of bedding and throw blankets. We look forward to staying there again if the opportunity comes up.

Lovely escape from the real world

Quiet wooded retreat but close to great hiking trails and the path along the lake was beautiful. Loved the ability to just be in a quiet place and the kids loved the ability to explore the woods. We didn’t need to work so the weak phone and internet were not a big deal - in fact was a good reason not to feel tempted to. This was posted in listing so not a surprise.

Unreasonable Fees

After having a nice weekend getaway, I was notified that we are being charged an insane amount of fees. When requesting proof of charges and providing multiple responses and requests, the unauthorized charge was still charged to my credit card. Even though we followed the agreement and did everything we were supposed to, they still charged unreasonable fees. I would have recommend this place, however, you have to plan to be taken advantage of and stolen from by the owner.

Lovely Log Cabin in the Woods

We spent a long weekend with our adult kids enjoying the beautiful wooded lot, spacious and clean cabin, fire pit, a nicely appointed kitchen and outdoor grill, and the local beaches and hiking. The owner/manager was very responsive which we appreciated very much. 5/5 would stay again!

Quiet Solitude

Enjoyed the remoteness of the property. The kitchen had some of the best utensils and supplies of any place I have stayed. The bed and bedding were extremely comfortable.

Our experience

I will start with bad things about this cabin, so we traveled 3.5 hours from Illinois to relax and enjoy privacy, but there was no privacy, owners have video cameras around the building pointed right at us, there was about 4 video cameras watching us, no one felt comfortable being outside, WiFi was very slow, no firewood, way too many rules for this house, we had to clean after ourselves, wash dishes, drag garbage can with garbage 30 yards on the road which we forgot and they charged us $50, pillows were stinky, if you forget something from the list they will charge you!!! We paid cleaning fee, but still had to clean!!! Very unhappy with the experience!

Cozy cabin getaway

We stayed for 4 nights with pool our 3 kids and family dog; we loved the cabin design, secluded feeling, wood burning chimney and endless family game, DVD’s, online steaming etc. that the owners provided. In our opinion the hosts provide almost everything that you can possibly need for an extended stay, including full service kitchen.
