Winter interlude at Lunamar, Playa del Carmen
I booked this home in a gated community of Lunamar for an escape of my Canadian winter and my love for Mexico and the food. I booked for a 5 week stay. initially, the first two weeks I was alone, so the house was amply comfortable, with 3 bed & bathrooms, kitchen/living/dining room a very small outdoor patio off the kitchen that is presently unfinished with gravel flooring and a wonderful 3rd floor patio with a covered tarp and solar lighting at night. That was a great place to escape at the end of the day, warm to cool breezes. Also a washer & dryer on the third floor that I had access to.
The twin bedrooms and 3 bathrooms are small in size, a bit snug, but really not a huge issue as limited time is really spent in them. The Master bedroom had a king size bed and all beds were comfortable.
The kitchen, adequately equipped with dishes both plastic and some clear glass, glasses, coffee cups, cutlery, kitchen tools, pots and pans. There is a drip coffee and a Nespresso coffee makers.
I hired Paulina, the caretaker to clean once a week she was fabulous.
I cooked meals a fair amount and found the fridge a bit small when my family arrived, filling the fridge with beer and fresh fruits and perishable, but we managed! (Otherwise, it is ample)
The pools were awesome both for my grandsons, also for swimming laps or just wading. There were n loungers around the pool or BBQ area. The owner provided 2 chairs. FABULOUS vacation.
Beach was clean and close by.
