Abbot Creek Cottage, Only 10 Minutes from Glacier National Park!

This quaint cottage is a cozy base for your next Glacier Park vacation. Come for a rejuvenating, getaway. Homey 2 bedroom cottage that sleeps 4 comfortably. 10 minutes from West Glacier National Park and 10 minutes from Hungry Horse Reservoir.

This updated cottage has slate floors in the entryway, solid wood floors in the kitchen, and original wood floors in the living room. The living room has a gas fireplace to take the chill out of the cool evenings. A large covered patio offers glimpses of Abbot Creek and is the perfect place to 'wine' down after a day of sightseeing in Glacier Park, hiking, climbing, fishing or visiting Hungry Horse Dam a short 5 miles from the Cottage. Every Thursday evening at 5:30 there is a Columbia Falls Community Market complete with farmers market, ice cream, live music and dancing and micro breweries. One may even spend a day shopping in Columbia Falls, Whitefish, Kalispell, or attend a play at the Bigfork Summer Theatre.. These are all well within an hour of the Cottage.
The Cottage has private off-street parking large enough to accommodate a boat and trailer for use on the many area lakes.

The property has 70 feet of beautiful Abbot Creek running along its southern border. Abbot Creek is a year-round babbling mountain stream that can soothe your stress and rejuvenate your soul. My 11 siblings and I fished this lovely stream when we were youngsters! We are working on making the Creek accessible to our guests but it is not yet complete. Enjoy the sounds and sights for now!!

This home sits on the original homestead property and belonged to my Great Aunt who was a Martin and the daughter of the original homesteaders of Martin City. Martin City is the small town nearest the property. Gabriela’s Father helped set the first turbine in the historic Hungry Horse Dam which is nearby.

Enjoy a scenic 10 minute drive to Glacier National Park. The Middle Fork of the Flathead river runs about a mile from the Cottage and is a wonderful rafting, and kayaking venue. Columbia Falls, Whitefish, and Kalispell, are all within a 15-40 minute drive.

Beautiful, plenty of room, well maintained, and clean. Bathroom appears to be a recent renovation. Gabriella was responsive and accommodating.One issue, it's close to the road, Montana Highway 2. The National Parks are just inundated anymore, resulting in this road always being busy. The house is well-insulated from road noise but it can be bothersome when sitting at the patio or fire pit. That said, it appears most every place near Glacier is right off or next to the highway.Overall, excellent stay.

I highly recommend this cottage! Fabulous location so close to Glacier National Park. Gabriela is a wonderful host. The accommodations are spacious and beautifully decorated. Having a washer and dryer was also wonderful. 10/10 recommend.

Check in and out was really easy. Place was immaculate and stocked with everything you might need, there was even bear spray and bug spray! Location was ideal and right off the main highway but surprisingly quiet without highway noise. We saw deer almost every morning one evening and a wild turkey all right from the cottage. Highly recommend this cottage and would definitely stay there again. We did arrive at night and it's not easy to find in the dark your first time but the directions were very detailed and spot on!

Great location! It was clean with necessities provided! It also had a beautiful yard, a nice fire pit with benches surrounding it, and a nice back patio with a grill, table, and chairs. Gabriela leaves gifts for each customer, which was a special surprise! It felt like a “home away from home”, and it was very helpful to have a dishwasher, washer, and dryer to use!

We visited Glacier with friends, and this cute, comfortable cottage was our home away from home for a few days. The property is beautiful and the cottage is well kept. It was perfect being such a short drive from the West Glacier entrance to the park. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Glacier getaway

We loved this property because it gave us everything we were looking for in our trip to this area. Clean and well stocked it was a comfortable and convenient place to stay. Short drive to Glacier and plenty of places to dine. The owners were quick to respond to our calls and messages and they made sure we had everything we needed.

Lovely, cozy cottage convenient to Glacier National Park. Very clean and has everything you need. We enjoyed watching the deer and turkey on the property. The heated bathroom floor was the best 😀 and the welcome gifts much appreciated.

Exceptionally outstanding cottage

Abbot Creek Cottage is a jewel, exceptionally maintained and outfitted. Everything we needed and much more were thoughtfully provided. A lot of work goes into this property with its beautifully groomed grounds and intriguing flower beds. Located between Columbia Falls and West Glacier it couldn't have been easier to pick up supplies and access the park. Thank you, Gabriela! We had a terrific and restful vacation!

Beautiful, well equipped property with great location to explore Glacier Park and surrounding areas. House was very clean and exactly as described.
