Where to even begin? Bahia Principe Ambar is amazing. The staff are absolutely phenomenal. So kind, incredibly attentive, and it’s clear they work incredibly hard to make your stay the best it can be. The resort grounds are gorgeous, there’s not a single complaint I could think of regarding the property. Bars are easily accessible, drinks are made well and quickly. Food was generally good, not amazing but good. Where this place really shined was relaxation. The beach and pool are both so nice, we had a ground floor room and a pool just outside which we enjoyed thoroughly. My only complaint about the entire trip would be related to the beach. At the towel station there is a sign that states you’re not allowed to “reserve” a chair at the beach by placing a towel there and coming back later. I noticed that was never enforced and many people would “claim” chairs in prime spots and sometimes never even use them. There were people looking for shady spots to sit (the sun is incredibly strong) and be deterred from using some of the best seating by a lone pair of sandals on a chair. I actually moved a pair of sandals to sit under a cabana and no one ever came looking for them after several hours of sitting in the spot. Regardless of my rambling, this resort is absolutely amazing and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to relax for a few days or a week. Thank you Bahia!
