The resort itself is gorgeous, with lovely surroundings and well-kept facilities, but unfortunately the service really let the experience down. Staff often seemed overwhelmed or uninterested, and several requests took far longer than they should have—or were forgotten entirely. Communication felt disorganized, and the level of attentiveness didn’t match what you’d expect from a resort at this price. It’s a shame, because the property has a lot of potential. With better training and more consistent customer service, it could be a fantastic stay. Until then, it’s hard to fully recommend unless you value the location far more than the service.

We enjoyed our stay at AVA. The resort was beautiful and the staff were amazing. It was never a dull moment. My kids loved the kids club as well. It was very accommodating for families and their food was excellent. Honestly, I can’t stop talking about how beautiful the resort is and how wonderful the staff and the service was.

Unfortunately our stay here was a nightmare. After spending thousands of dollars and blown away from the pictures on the site, this place was no where near what they advertised. The beach is non existent - you won’t be able to have a beach day here. The water is brown and dirty. My 5 year old got hurt in the theater and it took 20 minutes for somebody to come to help. She had a very bad deep cut and finally the LIFEGUARD came inside the resort to bandage it up. It was really scary the lack of medical help on staff. Our 2nd day we were sick and throwing up - I’m not sure if it was from the food or the water or what. Our room was very clean and nice but other than that I wouldn’t waste your money here. The amenities were not what they make it. We had to leave due to my 5 year olds injury and no refund was offered

Beach unfortunately was hit with red tide problems. Seems to look like run off from pesticide farming around surroundings…locals stated that problem seems to ne getting worse every year. Beach was too infested with algae and smelled like a sewer. It was breathtaking and bad if you love the beach. The food is average but the service and hospitality of the workers is excellent.
