The first room we checked into had dead bugs on the sheets. They switched us to a clean room, but it was disconcerting.
The mattress was the least comfortable mattress I have slept on in years.
We arrived late (~1am), and had to ring a doorbell while waiting in the cold for desk service. I am familiar with special late check-in procedures, but we were given no special late check-in instructions. The confirmation email said we would be greeted upon arrival.
Parking was inadequate for the number of rooms.
The price paid, $250/night, is enough for a 3-star hotel in a major city. This was essentially a 1-star hotel, not a 2-1/2 star hotel as described in its listing. The cost has entirely to do with renting during ski season, but, while I am sure they can command a premium, for $250/night there should be clean sheets and comfortable mattresses. A hotel in a major city has high costs that justify $250/night. Paying that amount for a hotel of this quality in the sticks is outright robbery.
