Good hotel in convenient location

Pros: Comfortable room and central location. The Market was a $5 cab ride, which on a warm day you could walk.
Cons: Water pressure in shower was horrible.
Location: Downtown Ottawa. Canada's capital. Parliament, parks, museums, shopping, dining, walk along the canal, etc.
Very nice hotel. A little dated in areas. Staff was quite friendly. Check in and out very quick.

Dear Valued Guest, Thank you for taking the time rating us so positively. We hope to welcome you again soon

Very nice hotel for our long weekend in Ottawa. I traveled with my wife and kids and we all enjoyed our stay. Staff were helpful and friendly. Location is extremely convenient to most tourist destinations. Rooms are snug for four but more than sufficient for us; wifi was good and enabled me to work remotely. I also commend the hotel on the excellent cruelty free shampoo, conditioner and lotions. Breakfast in the hotel was very good - steel cut oats were superb. If I had been traveling alone on business Arc The Hotel would be a terrific choice. We would stay there again. However for anyone who plans to stay in the hotel more than just for sleep and someplace to keep your bags, you may want to consider other places too.

I'm sorry you weren't pleased with the size of the bed in your room. Next time, we would be more than happy to arrange for something a little more comfortable for you and your partner to stay. We appreciate the positive comments you made about our location, and that is something we definitely use to our advantage! We look forward to welcoming you back at Arc The.Hotel in the near future!

Good hotel for location

Pros: Location
Cons: Lighting and color scheme
Location: Parliament, By Ward, Rialto Center, Sparks Street
It was a bit of a hassle to have to dig under the side tables to find the switch for the lights that was hidden and on the wire. The bathroom floor had dangerous slippery tile. The sink had a faucet that was placed so the water missed the top only marginally causing quite of bit of splatter when using it. Colors were dark. Thus, things on the carpet were obvious. The staff were wonderful and very helpful.

Super location and lovely staff

Pros: Staff. The glass of wine included was a nice touch. Location. Cleanliness.
Cons: The room was a little shabby for a boutique hotel, but that wouldn't stop me from going again. It was very clean.
Location: Sparks Street, with its shops and bars. Good dining within walking distance. Parliament, with its light show. Walking tours. Rideau Center shopping
A night downtown Ottawa was a gift to my husband for Christmas. We were traveling and staying with family, so a getaway to do some sights and visit some restaurants seemed a perfect gift. The location is excellent for walking to many of the tourist sights. Considering the price, the location is perfect. As a boutique-type hotel, the reception, lounge and welcoming staff did a fab job. Just have to say though that the room was rather small. Not an issue for us, as we were just sleeping there. And it was a little battered and not as pristine as I was expecting. That said, the bed was fabulously comfy and the sheets made me want to take them home.

4 Days in Ottawa

Pros: Friendly helpful staff, clean rooms, valet parking, good bar to relax in
Location: Close to all the important sites in the city and also walking distance to a ton of great restaurants
This was a quick trip that my wife and I took to take in the sites in Ottawa. Arc is very centrally located, literally 4 blocks from The Hill and an easy walk to most of the things you would want to see and do in town. The staff are very helpful and friendly and seemingly willing to really make an effort to ensure you have a good experience. WiFi signal in the room was fine and the breakfast room is first rate. I would go back here in a heart beat. Had a grat experience overall.

Very nice staff

Location is near many of the city's main sites. It is in the business district so it is pretty quiet on weekends. Valet and reception staff were very helpful and friendly.

The 4 star rating is totally inaccurate.

Our room was dark and dingy. The furnishings old and minimal. The room too small and uninviting which leads me to not trust Travelicity's ratings. Positives were that staff was very friendly and bed comfortable. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!
