The resort is beautiful. Check-in was quick and easy. The lobby bar was awesome for service, drinks, and entertainment. The beach setup is great. Pool is beautiful but can be hard to get chairs. Towel service is excellent. The pool bar was ok but drink quality ranged from pour the drink out to perfect. Our room was very clean. It did not have consistent hot water for shower. Wish the TV was a Smart TV so we could have signed into our apps. Sadly limited TV options due to language barrier. The swim up pool is not worth the extra cost because the water is so cold you cannot swim in it. Room service was excellent!! They kept our room clean and were very responsive to our needs. We had private breakfast in room most mornings and ordered late night dinner once. The food was good quality and served warm. Day activities were good. The breakfast buffet was good but we did not enjoy the lunch or dinner buffet. We ate dinner at MEAT, Limbo and Portafino. They were good overall. If you are a foodie, this may not be the place to stay, but definitely is a place to stay for beauty and relaxation.

Beautiful room, great restaurants with good service, ok buffet (same food every day), beach area is ok. Please change your sun beds if you want to be called luxury. Absolutely no service at the beach! Hotel is outdated but kept clean. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Since the new ownership you can definitely tell the property has taken a downward turn. The rooms arent being take care of, events are short lived, the buffet is sad. I have stayed here 3 times now and the ambar used to be the cream of the crop, you could go anywhere and eat anywhere. Now your stuck to only your resort. I had to ask multiple times for any of my perks, had to pay to upgrade and even then that swim out toilet broke multiple times. The previous room before the upgrade the fridge didnt work. Also the al a carte meals are shared with other resorts. I spent a lot of money to be far away from children and still had to deal with screaming brats at dinner. I will not be returning. Dont get me started on the spa too, its a joke.

Restaurants are very good. Room very nice. Beautiful property shared by 5-6 complexes. Which lead to a busy beach. Guests get up very early and reserve chairs on the beach and by the pool. If you are looking for a shaded spot on the beach those are getting reserved around 6am or earlier. Golf carts or shuttles drive around and can take you to other areas of the complex. If you have reservations at other restaurants. Entertainment was fine. Just enough. Not overpowering. We enjoyed the more relaxed atmosphere. Overall a very nice all inclusive resort.

Stay was great with one exception, the older gentleman that runs the store on the corner on the back of the coffee shop was VERY mean and harassed us for buying an item from the shop next to him. He told us “You HAVE to come and buy from me now” we politely declined and told him we had come into his shop earlier and he SCREAMED at us and called us names. We felt quite threatened and uneasy and voiced our concerns with the Resort manager. We were told later in the day that another guest had the same experience after ours. The rest of our stay was very nice.

My recent stay at the Bahía Príncipe Luxury Ambar was truly fantastic, providing a perfect, relaxing getaway. The standout feature of this resort is, without a doubt, the staff. Every single person we encountered was extremely attentive, genuinely kind, and incredibly welcoming. Their commitment to service made the entire experience feel personalized and special. ​The dining experience was a definite highlight, particularly the Steakhouse. We had a delicious meal starting with a perfectly prepared Caesar salad, followed by the beef carpaccio. For the main course, the churrasco steak was cooked flawlessly. And the chimichurri served with the steak was hands down one of the best I have ever tasted—vibrant, fresh, and perfectly balanced. ​The only minor bummer for me was the breakfast selection. While abundant, I was hoping for a greater variety of truly Dominican Típico breakfast options. This is a small critique, however, as the overall quality of food and service was exceptional. ​If you are looking for an adults-only, all-inclusive experience with world-class hospitality, Bahía Príncipe Luxury Ambar is an easy recommendation.

The specific resort we stayed was far from perfect. I definitely think it could have been a better experience. The staff specifically the females were rude.The women that cleaned by room was super mean. Never said good morning or anything. She mean mugged us everytime we passed. The “private pool” is not private bc you have to share with the neighbors & it’s always cold ! Mostly dirty. Used it 1 time for 2 min. The rooms are nice and the bathtub was nice too. Keep in mind this hotel will not provide personal items for u such as toothpaste or tooth brushes. I found that pretty sad for the price we paid. Every thing u can buy at the shops but it’s sooo expensive!!! The hotel does not carry enough change ! Idk what the deal was. They would only change a 20$ and that’s if they had at the moment. The food was alright but expect to use the bathroom constantly and pls bring peptol bismo. The activities we better in different resorts. Ambar is for old ppl.very boring. also they try to sell the Dominican fiesta which is cheaply made . I had to pay even tho I was there for 10 min bc I was late and it rained. I think that should’ve been included in the stay. I think they try to charge for things as much as they can even though it’s all inclusive. There were mosquitoes everywhere. The “ clean bed sheets “ always had stains. There were some molds on the walls and some roaches. Not a lot. The beaches were reallly nice ! Overall, wouldn’t recommend unless you’re elderly

Clean room with special details like flowers. Staff very friendly and courteous. The dining room staff superb Ramon, Antonio, Ñoño! I can not forget Pablo.
