My self and my wife were newly wed and we did not feel welcomed at all.

Pros: Free Internet
The executive floor was very poor and the hotel Manager was the weakest hotel manager I have seen in my life. The bed was not king size and the breakfast not included for the executive floor and price was very very disappointing, therefore my self ,wife and friends will never stay there again.

Rooms and beds are extremely small.

Cons: Noisy, very small rooms
While acceptable, I would only stay here again as a last resort. You can usually find much more comfortable accommodations in the same price range.

Great location, quiet rooms, just what I like!

Pros: Close restaurants
Cons: No free Internet
No free Internet at this hotel. The hotel is very quiet which is one of my big beefs with many hotels. I don't like noisy hotels.

Clean, efficient rooms.

Pros: Close restaurants, Quiet
Updated hotel very near Air Canada Centre. Very clean, but older building. Lots of nearby underground parking. We felt like we were in a European hotel. We loved the hardwood floors (I hate carpets) and nook with coffee maker, etc. Small breakfast restaurant was efficient and small variety of food. Friendly staff.

Tiny room and beds but more than served its purpos

Pros: Location. Decor was very modern.
Cons: Rooms could have body lotion and other amenities but I guess that is the perk of a modern hotel.
Location: See above.
I have been going to TIFF for the past 7-8 years and have only switched hotels twice. This time, I tried the Strathcona for its excellent location to most of the theatres. It's a 3 block walk in comparison to a cab ride which worked wonders this year with the rain. In any event, location, location, location. Excellent. The size of the room was a shock. So small and with twin beds which I had forgotten was part of the package. Staff was nice although not seeing anyone at the lobby desk at midnight on one night was a little disconcerting. In the end, it was a pleasant experience mainly because I was only in the room to sleep between movies.

Great location, Nice Staff, SubPar Accommodations

Rooms are small, even executive size room is small. First room we walked in it was not properly cleaned. They upgraded us immediately. Second room was sufficient. Tv, closet and room in general was small. Bed was sufficient. Breakfast was good. Would only recommend for 1 night trips because location and price is right. Definitely would not stay here for more than 1 night.
