This is honestly one of the overall nicest hotels we have ever stayed at from the location - walking distance to everything, to the staff - unbelievably helpful, friendly and accommodating, to the beautiful rooms and amenities. We were there for three nights and did not want to leave. Would highly recommend!!

Great Location

Great central location. Walking distance to shopping on Robson, Canada Line, Gastown, Aqua bus (to get to Granville Island), hop on hop off tour, capilano bridge shuttle. Hotel was awesome!!! Staff was so nice and helpful, breakfast was great, after walking all day it’s nice to walk into your hotel and not have to walk for days just to get to your room like in the mega hotel chains. Each staff member was knowledgeable about the city and always happy to assist. So happy we stayed there. Would definitely stay again. Worth every penny!

Home from Home

Pros: Staff. Close to everywhere downtown, quiet now that building next door is finished. On the small side.
Cons: . Espresso machine in the breakfast room hopeless; staff know it. Rear view mirror in the bathroom. Have to use my compact mirror to see back of hair
Location: Walk to Lupo's for supper. Highly recommended Walk everywhere with ease. Best Buy, Winners Nordstrom's BC Place Theatre Canada Line Art Gallery.
We stay regularly but only for one or two nights. The staff recognize us. The manager leaves a personal note in the room to welcome us. The Nespresso machine in the room is a bonus. I take a few extra pods with us as you will read that I don't think much of the machine in the breakfast room. The front staff from the door man to the desk staff and the concierge are attentive and polite without being obsequious. Nothing seems to much trouble for them unlike staff in some other hotels in which we have stayed downtown. If a waiter in the breakfast room has a big grin when he sees you and gives you a hug what more is there to say.

Fancy in Vancouver

We adored this hotel and their staff. Everyone was so nice and willing to help. We would ask a question and it seemed like everyone wanted to provide us with the best answer possible. They offer a very awesome perk of car service anywhere in downtown. Not knowing the area we used this service quite a bit and the driver's were always wonderful. The room was also very comfortable. The only down side was the construction going on across the street. Not the hotel's fault however so I wouldn't ding them for that. We will definitely be going back to Vancouver and staying again at this hotel.

Very nice place - close to all the sites downtown

Pros: People are VERY nice.
Cons: Hard to find the front door - first time visitor.
Location: Gastown, water front, Yaletown restaurants - all easy walking distance.
Raymond and Randy did a great job getting us into restaurants getting us around the business of downtown.

Downtown with nothing to do

The hotel room was excellent and most of the staff also but they seemed to be forced to say no a lot due to management (who are never around ) Biggest complaint was that pool, restaurant and lounge (there is no lobby gathering space) while very nice, all close at 10 The only choice is a noisy club downtown. Only four chairs total in pool peramafwnt rules...hang out on the side of the pool??? Crazy One pillow choice ...rock hard

Excellent service but in the heart of construction

This hotel was absolutely beautiful and the service was impeccable. The rooms were amazing, and the concierge was incredibly helpful. The only big problem was that downtown Vancouver is all under construction, so while I had a beautiful veranda, it was looking at a construction site across the street, which was often times noisy. So it wasn't the relaxing respite of a vacation that I'd hoped for. I realize that there's nothing that the hotel can do about the construction, but had I known, I probably would have chosen a hotel that was not in the heart of downtown. If that doesn't bother you, then by all means, I'd highly recommend this hotel. It's top notch. The exterior environment just isn't.
