Small and Dated
Dated building with recent renovations. Room was small and no ac was an issue with the warmer temperatures. Ceiling fan provides some airflow. Room was not ready when I checked in at 430pm (check in is at 3pm). Only took a couple minutes but felt the room should have already been ready. Electrical cables look like they have haphazardly spliced which was concerning. Really tough to justify paying downtown Vancouver premiums on a place like this.

Stayed for the fireworks. Was so close to English bay. My kids were comfortable to walk there and back. Heard they had breakfast but never woke up in time. Long walk tired us out. Parking was twice as much then posted. Nice to be able to save a bit to cook in the room!

The location and staff are great but the property itself is old and a bit dirty. The room smells good, by dirty I mean the floor and furniture have not been cleaned throughly.

I am not happy with this place. I stayed 3 nights and they Over charged me $33.84 and i was keep trying to reach to manager but she never response. The staff is saying she is busy to talk. It's been one week i am not getting a reply yet. Even i left a call back number but no luck.

DO NOT STAY HERE! Found a bed bug in my room. Took the bug to the front desk and asked if we could please be refunded as we did not feel comfortable staying there. Upon agreeing to refund us, we left. They called me back telling they would no longer refund me. Absolutely terrible place. Avoid at all costs.

I was a bit hesitant based on the mixed reviews, but I am so glad we came here. We will definitely plan to stay at Divya Sutra suites on future visits. The staff was lovely, the room was amazing, and overall an incredible location and price. My only regret is not staying here longer so we could take advantage of the full kitchen!

We stayed here mainly for the ideal and amazing location and reasonable price. But, we hadn’t looked well enough beforehand and were surprised about the expensive parking fee on site which added 210$ extra to our 6 night stay. The room was much smaller than we expected for 6 guests. The number of beds was correct but the room was so cluttered and crammed! Cleanliness was okay but not great. Mold in the bathroom and dust and dead bugs on the windowsill. But the bedsheets were white and clean and bed was comfortable. The view from the penthouse room was amazing and the outside patio was very well enjoyed! Kitchenware was appreciated but we wished there was a sink to wash everything other than the tiny bathroom sink! Room needs updating and decluttering. Overall, great location, views and patio. But, cleanliness, space and comfort were just fine.

Check in was 3, didn’t get our room till 3:45. Had two rooms booked and wanted us to pay 29 bucks to check in early with the first room. Nothing done about room not being ready. Both room keys didn’t work after first night

This hotel is an excellent value. The room is large and quiet. The location is excellent also. Although you’re downtown, Robson is a pretty quiet 2-lane street. The staff is very nice. Very comfortable bed and excellent water pressure in the shower. It’s a little confusing when you arrive because the sign says Hotel Rivera. There’s a nice cafe for breakfast (try their carmel coffee bun-a specialty) and an excellent Korean restaurant called Surabaya, both a block away.
