"My stay at Days Inn by Wyndham Brantford was okay definitely reflective of the cost per night. The hotel itself is quite run down and outdated. The rooms feel worn, and the beds were noticeably lumpy and uncomfortable. Bright side there was a microwave which now is a novelty in hotels. What really left a negative impression, though, was what happened after I had already returned home. I received a call informing me that I was being charged $15 for a hand towel due to a makeup stain. I was honestly shocked by this. I’ve stayed at many hotels over the years and have never once been charged for something like that, as makeup on towels is a very normal and expected occurrence. I was also told they spent “all day” trying to remove the stain, which didn’t make much sense to me. With proper cleaning methods, makeup typically comes out of white towels without much issue, especially in a hotel setting with commercial laundry. There was no policy communicated during my stay about being charged for something like this, so receiving that call after the fact felt unexpected and unreasonable. It gave the impression that guests are being charged for normal wear and tear rather than actual damage. Between the outdated condition of the hotel, the uncomfortable beds, and the unexpected charge, the overall experience was not a positive one. "

"The property is good, the staff is exceptional and the breakfast is solid. But, the EV chargers don’t work and that was part of the reason why I booked this property. You need to scan a QR code to start them, and rhe QR codes are all bleached out by the sun."

"The pool was a mess. Kids going on slide and kids swimming on pool; complete hazard. The teen boy watching kids at the pool was rude and condescending. The breakfast was mainly sweets. Price was reasonable but pool staff was a no for me"

"This is a very nice hotel. The reason for my negative review is the staffing and the manager ignoring our calls and expedias calls regarding a promise of a discount they had made. We arrived on time for our check in around 3:30 or so. We were told our room was not ready because they were understaffed and that we need to wait 40-45 minutes. So, we understood and came 2 hours later around 5:30 assuming they had enough time, but our room still wasn’t ready. After informing them we had a place to be by 7:00 they finally upgraded our room and offered a discount for our trouble. Which was great and we were satisfied. But, they ended up charging us $240 for the upgrade which then took a few days for the charge to disappear. We were then told they could not immediately provide us with the promised discount because we booked through Expedia. We were told to call the manager the next day. We did, twice and the manager never returned our messages. We then brought this to Expedia’s attention, they attempted to reach the property and the manager. Again, no reply to Expedia's messages. We never received our promised discount for making us wait for our room. So, the issue is definitely one of trust and honesty coming from the manager at this hotel. Nice place but poor customer service and dishonesty with their promises. You cannot trust what they tell you. I waited a week to write this review because I understand a hotel being understaffed an issues arising. But they lied to us. "
