A formal complaint was made. When we arrived at caribe we were moved because we were told they couldn’t accommodate us. When we arrived to the palace we were told the same thing. The staff was very hostile. While On the beach we were stopped by police and army men who requested to see our bags. Because we weren’t given any wristbands. Instead we were pushed to the side and told to contact the Caribe. After arriving to our rooms and the door was left often we were moved back to the Caribe. While there we experienced discrimination. An experience that was supposed to be great turned into horror. I can say Expedia was very attentive this time. But the Riu hotel and communication was horrible. They do not take Expedia or any third party request serious. It was horrible

Excellent value for an all inclusive. Food was very good especially breakfast. There were lots of young people and sometimes the crowd was a little out of hand but for the most part was fine. The non smoking policy is not enforced but since you are outside mostly it’s tolerable. Beat part was the staff and no seaweed on the beach.

The resort was incredibly clean, and we were really impressed with the variety of food options available. The beach was spotless, completely free of sargassum, and the pools were lovely. The entertainment team was amazing, keeping us engaged and entertained throughout our trip. Every single staff member was friendly and courteous, making our experience truly enjoyable. This was my 4th visit. It was my first visit since the renovation. I liked the updates to the rooms, but missed the giant pool. I found the rooms clean, but some of the common areas on the upper floors were not as clean as they should have been. Bartenders and wait staff were great, though some of the front desk staff and managers were not super helpful or friendly. The lack of free shuttle service from/to airport is disgraceful, especially as a loyal customer on my 4th trip booking multiple rooms. Apparently, if you book through Expedia, you are not entitled to the free shuttle - would have been good to know beforehand. Food was ok, neither terrible nor amazing - about what I expected at an all-inclusive. Lots of variety and OK quality - very bland. Overall, it was a great time - pool, pool bar, and sports bar were a lot of fun!
