The Kimberly is a beautiful, well run, and clean boutique size hotel in a lovely, quiet location in Manhattan. I must compliment the entire staff I interacted with. Not just polite and competent, but genuinely friendly. That was also true of the other guests I spoke to in elevators, restaurants and lobby-just an unusual experience for NYC. I received an upgrade to a 1 bedroom suite and was shocked at how large it was. The bathroom had heated floors, lots of extra personal items provided, quality soaps, shampoos, and lotions. There was plenty of closet space and hangers. A super comfortable bed with a lovely comforter. I had brunch at the restaurant on the main floor-Bistango. Great food and service. The hotel also offered complimentary coffee and pastries at the rooftop restaurant which was a lovely place to hang out and had amazing views. I really can’t give The Kimberly enough compliments. Well done!!!

The good: very responsive staff, great location, and old school charm. Monkey Bar and Devoción are very short walks for good food and coffee respectively. All the swanky shopping is very close. The “meh”: The bathroom doesn’t have a lot of counter space which was not optimal. The shower was hard calibrating hot and cold. The bad: noisy!!! The heating and cooling is old school and it’s high flow, which is good, but it’ll dry you out fast.
