"The location of the Gallivant is great! A very short walk to Broadway, Times Square, subway and more. The room was clean, beds were firm (which I like). However the elevator was extremely slow and door wouldn't shut properly numerous times which prevented the elevator from going. So much so, that we usually chose to take the stairs. The front desk staff and housekeepers were very friendly. I would stay here again."

"The hotel was very nice, had an old New York style to it. The staff were polite and helpful. The room was clean and tidy with plenty of storage and drawer space for luggage and clothes/belongings. The bathroom was clean and shower was well equipped with hot water and ready to use hair and body lotion. Only drawback was the decoration of the room was very sparse, only one outlet that had the air conditioning plugged into it. I didn’t need to use it, so I was ok with no air conditioning and the single outlet to charge my phone. But in hotter months, you would have to choose between the two at times. Also, for the room I was given, the view from the window was a brick wall, so I would ask for a room with a view as the front of the building looks on towards 42nd street and broadway area."

"The Crown has been redone by Hyatt. Hyatt has really done a great job of renewing the property. It has a nice clean look. Really like the new location of the restaurant/bar. They wait service in the restaurant/bar were very friendly, accommodating and helpful. I liked the room, especially the beds. they were very soft and comfortable. I found the check-in very cold and too business like. not very welcoming. We had a refrigerator in the room but no coffee maker which is something we really missed."
