Now I have been there 39 weeks since 1998, there is a lot of repairs needed, especially in some ceiling areas that water leaks have damaged. My room was fine air conditioning ok. We live the people and they know us. Now I have noticed repairs made, new roof over sections with solar panels. I noticed painting done. Last year the improved the breeze by completely redoing it, and then started on outside plastering and painting to the Shang gra la restaurant. But for some people repairs aren’t fast enough, and I keep defending them. Hopefully they have a excellerated plan to finish some of the repairs. There are still people coming having a good time and saying they will be back, to where on the other hand some will not return.

The staff is great! Club rooms are nice because they are on the top floor have refrigerators & soaking jacuzzi tubs. You can still hear the afternoon pool noise, if you're a napper. I've stayed here before, was disappointed that the gourmet restaurant was closed for renovations. The resort is definitely in need of a makeover.

We had an amazing stay at the resort. The staff were exceptional - especially Jose (bartender) and Martin (bell boy). They will go above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable and memorable as they can. An example of how amazing the staff are, I got sick (NOT from the resort) and Jose made a bunch of calls to get chicken noodle soup sent up to my room and was concerned for my well being. Another example is my sunglasses broke and bell boy Martin ran to another resort to buy super glue and took over half an hour to make my sunglasses usable. These example are some of the many of how amazing the staff at this resort are. They treat you like family! The room itself was dated but very clean and comfortable. The public areas could use some updating and there were some roof leaks in the public area while we were there, which did not affect the quality of our stay. The pool area, bars, restaurants and the beach view were amazing! The food was very good quality and we had lots of option. Overall we loved our stay and had so much fun! If you are someone who would rather be more concerned about atmosphere and having fun than the aesthetics of your resort this is the place for you! We hope to return one day in the future! Thank you Golden Parnassus!
