"Perfect Pre-Trip Hotel"
Hotel was a 2 minute walk to the monorail to the terminal. Room was small but very clean, organized and had the most comfortable bed. The staff was very friendly and I would highly recommend it.

"Perfect location for our event in the area near by"
The room was a little "tired" but very clean. We were pleasantly surprised on the tile flooring, as there is nothing worse than stained carpets. Although there is a kitchenette, there were no glasses, or utensils. No issue, the staff was happy to provide upon request. The evening check-in staff was a little drab but effective. The elevator needs some major update, also very stained. Some cleaning would help somewhat. In the morning; however, the promised breakfast was unacceptable. No staff supervision, or at least check in every few minutes. By 7 am, there was not coffee, the pastry was at least day old if not older, and all offerings were definitely over-picked. For instance, breakfast for the whole hotel included (at 7am) 4 apples, 3 sugared up yogurt cups, 3 defrosted waffles, some bulk cereal, packets of cheap peanut butter, jam and cream cheese, butter and the above mentioned stale bread and pastry. Once a patron "hunted down" a staff, he brought in some extremely watered down coffee, matching the drabness of the previous night's staff. Would I go back? Only if I had to due to the location of our family event near by.

"Friendly, helpful staff; business-friendly rooms."
Our arrival late at night from the airport was greeted with a smile and no hassles. Our room would have been more comfortable for one business traveler, but we weren't going to be spending much time there. Amenities all new and in good order. Not awfully close to a lot of things, but swift, easy transit to the airport and some major businesses.

"What a wonderful staff!"
I never write reviews, but I was so impressed by the staff at the King Edward I wanted to share this with others looking for a place to stay. The concierge was friendly and so helpful and Jake at the front desk helped us with our phone and did it with a smile. The gentleman at the door were friendly and helpful. We were always a little lost and everyone helped us find our way and I never felt that they were put out by our request. I stayed at 5 hotels during our trip and this was by far my favorite!

"Excellent Surprise"
Didn't expect this hotel to be so large, have such classy décor, and have such a large and varied restaurant for meals. Great outdoor patio. Walking distance to major Toronto attractions. Reasonable price. Would definitely look to stay there again. Staff was very friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to serve.

"Good in all respects"
We stay here once a year when we visit our kids and grand kids in Toronto. The location is terrific, the beds super comfortable, the staff very accommodating and there is a lovely indoor pool. We also like the restaurant. We keep coming back!

"Outstanding experience, perfect location"
The good: The ambiance, quality of fixtures, and quality of dining and shopping in and around the hotel is outstanding. The front desk staff is professional, courteous, and accommodating. The location is among the best, being connected to Union Station by way of the PATH. It's a beautiful hotel with an old world meets contemporary feel. The bad: The hotel is supposedly non-smoking, but we stayed during Caribana, which apparently is a great time to indulge in pot smoking. We moved to a room along the perimeter because the halls were so full of smoke. The problem is that the hotel does absolutely nothing to enforce the non-smoking policy, despite exiting the elevators on every floor and walking into a pot cloud. It was obvious just by walking by the rooms from which ones the smoke originated, but the hotel seemed not to care. This part was VERY unfortunate.

"Great Home Away From Home!"
Stayed here last year and was delighted to see Daniel and Ruby behind the desk when I arrived! I was dropped off before noon with my luggage and was surprised and so very happy that they were able to accommodate my check in immediately.... They also upgraded my room to provide a washer/dryer! The renovation I experienced some of last year but the new exterior door and windows made the room soundproof in spite of construction nereby.. For the first time ever a hotel delivered a gift basket to my room! What a wonderful surprise! Certainly makes a guest feel special. The full kitchen makes a huge difference in having the comforts of home. There is a boutique supermarket on Boor St Longos, about a five minute walk from the hotel. Asparagus with hollandaise, veal marinara and a risotto asiago cake ready to warm up for $10.00. The subway at Bloor and Yonge St. is less than a ten minute walk. You couldn't ask for a better location near Yorkville, dept stores and Toronto·s finest shops. My stay could not have been better!
