"The private pool was the main reason we chose this resort, and to be fair, it was exactly as advertised. We really enjoyed it. That said, the service left room for improvement. There were four guests in our room, but only two bath towels were provided upon arrival. We asked for additional towels more than three times, but they never arrived. That was definitely disappointing and not what we expected. As for the food, the Asian and Italian options were unfortunately among the least impressive we’ve had at a Jamaican resort. On the other hand, the Jamaican food was excellent and easily one of the highlights of our stay. Anyone familiar with Jamaica knows that Negril has some of the most beautiful beaches and clearest water on the island. Spending time out on the water in a kayak is an experience that’s hard to beat, and the variety of water activities available here is exceptional. In fact, we enjoyed the sea so much that our private pool ended up feeling a little unnecessary. Overall, we had a good stay. Negril itself remains one of our favourite places in Jamaica, and that alone is enough to make us want to come back."

"The Riu tropical is a beautiful property with tons of amenities for everyone of all ages. The rooms were clean and well stocked each day with water etc. There are several places to eat on the property (just mk sure you mk your reswevations ahead if time cause they book fast). There are a few bars, coffee shop etc and a jerk hut on the beach. The entertainment each day was great. There are 3 pools, 1 with a swim up bar. The beach had pleny of chairs. The staff was exceptional and very welcoming and helpful. You book excursions right at the hotel. The only issue we had was that a fire alarm went off twice with an announcement to stay in place while being investigated. I work in commercial property management so I understand the stay in place but there was never a follow-up to give an all clear or even an explanation. There should always be an all clear or next step announcement. Other than that the property was perfect and we will return."

"This property is amazing! The next best thing to staying at an all inclusive. The meals were absolutely delicious. My daughter particularly enjoyed the jerk pasta. It's extremely accessible to other restaurants and events if you choose to leave the site. We enjoyed the family game room and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. They also resolved a significant issue with the airline labour disruption. Thank you for demonstrating customer service at it's finest. This is now my families nymber #1 selection when it comes to staying in Negril. I've recruited my girlfriends and we will be back. Awesome stay and trip."

"I just love the staff and the atmosphere at Country Country, I've stayed at all inclusive with all the bells and whistles, however, Country Country is quintessential Jamaican, owned and operated,I've stayed here on 5 different occasions, awesome, Camille in Country Peppa is the best, and I've found, walking onto the property is just like walking into the rain forest and at night, tree frogs sing you to sleep"
