We felt 30 years younger

Different type of vibe in this modern day hotel Every thing was great. Room very small but perfect for use. Bed was very comfortable but against window were we had to climb over each other during the night. It was a fun experience at that.

Trendy, Tech-Savvy Stay in the Heart of Boston CitizenM Boston Back Bay offers a unique and modern experience right in downtown Boston. Located directly opposite the Hynes Convention Centre train station and close to TJ Maxx and a variety of restaurants, the location is ideal for both business and leisure travelers. The hotel has a vibrant, youthful atmosphere with a stylish first-floor living area that feels like a student union bar—full of energy and people working on laptops. It’s a great space to relax, socialize, or get some work done. Everything about the hotel is high-tech. Self check-in and check-out are done via iPads, and each room comes with an iPad that controls lighting, temperature, and entertainment. It’s a fun, futuristic touch that adds to the overall experience. The rooms, while compact, are cleverly designed. The king-size bed is very comfortable but takes up most of the space, which can be a bit awkward if you're sharing—especially for the person sleeping by the window. Storage is minimal, with a small fridge and limited closet space, so many guests end up spending more time in the communal areas downstairs. Overall, CitizenM is perfect for solo travelers or couples who appreciate modern design, tech features, and a lively atmosphere. If you’re looking for a stylish, centrally located hotel with a social vibe, this is a great choice.

Great location in Back Bay

We had a nice stay, and it was very convenient to Fenway. We are active seniors but having to climb out of the bed could be challenging (especially during the night) as it is placed against the wall on three sides, and the person on the "open " side would have to move to allow the other out of the bed. Just something to be aware of. The hotel is literally across the street from the Convention Center T stop, another great convenience. We 'd definitely stay there again if we could have a different configuration of the bed.

Pleasant surprise

Great hotel - very tech oriented but easy to adjust to. Small but smartly appointed rooms that were super clean and comfortable. Lots of space in the lobby area to lounge or get food and drink at their well-stocked bar. Great location for Back Bay Boston. Everything easily accessible from hotel by walking or by train.
