Unfortunate Experience
Our adult family of 5 stayed here during the Christmas holidays. It was not a pleasant experience. We requested a kettle or tea pot and were told to use a pot to boil water for coffee or tea. We didn't think this was an unreasonable request. The shower in one of the bathrooms flooded. Water ran onto the bathroom floor, which had to be cleaned up with towels. The toilet also flooded and we were reprimanded for putting toilet paper in the toilet. We again had to use towels to clean the floor. We were not able to use this bathroom for two days until they were repaired. When we asked for extra towels, since we had used them to clean the wet floors, we were told that we would have to pay for extra towels.All 3 TV remotes had dead batteries. Two were replaced, but we were not able to use the living room remote because it was corroded. The outdoor grill was filty and the gas tank was rusty. We were not able to use the grill. The door handle on the master bedroom door kept coming off. Carla asked me how she could rectify or make the situation better. I stated that we would like a credit for the 2 days that we were not able to use the bathroom among other unfortunate events. We were told "no"- when we focus on negative things, we attract negative things. Focus more on the positive" Instead, she asked to send me flowers. We were also told that "this is not a hotel".We travel a lot and this is, the worst experience we have ever had and the response from the owners- unacceptable.
