I couldn’t believe this Hotel was advertised by Travelocity!!! Pictures on the website was misleading, very unsafe, homeless and drug seeking persons surrounding the Hotel. I was not going to put myself and my husband through this nightmare. The Receptionist was the only Nice aspect of this hotel and understood the reason for me and my husband wanting to leave. I booked another hotel right there in the lobby and was in total disbelief regarding the surrounding area of the hotel, lack of air conditioning, elevator and the price ($280 & $150 deposit) being charged by Travelocity. Worst Hotel “Ever” and Deserves a Negative Zero Rating!!!!!

We did not realize this hotel was in a really bad area of town. There were chains on the door. Homeless people all around as well as garbage. There were men hanging out in there entranceway. We decided not to stay there.

Luckily, we only stayed one night. Our room was dated, bed uncomfortable. Night Club on property (which we knew about ahead of time) was extremely loud even with the use of ear plugs. Our first time in Vancouver and not familiar with area when we booked this hotel. We were boarding a ship the next day. I would have searched for lodging closer to the ship yard. We did finish our stay with a delicious breakfast up the street at Yolks....

Liked that it was on the City bus line and easy to travel to and from, altho directions about bus routes would have been handy. When i made reservation, I asked for first floor or the fewest steps--I got a room with the most stairs. I asked for a room as far as possible from the bar - they gave me a room right over it. T.here was mold around the tub, there was dark/black hair all thru one of the beds. Both beds were lumpy and uncomfortable, as were all the pillows. I would give it 1 out of 10 because the wtaff was amazing, friendly and helpful.

Not what was expected

Quite disappointed overall. The location was terrible, in one of the worst streets in Vancouver and nothing warned us about it. Although fairly clean, the hotel is old and nothing like the pictures (misleading). Asian and Peruvian Staff were very friendly and helpful. Way too expensive for what it is. Will not return

Overpriced HELL hotel—-zero stars

After signing my name to the receipt and being handed a literal key, we were told there would be loud music from 1030pm to 230am. Not joking at all. A few blocks away was a drug addicted skid row. People were smoking, injecting and cooking their drugs. Do not go here. The restaurant was great but everything else was awful.

The young man working the desk during our check in was so wishy-washy and was taking so long that I turned my back for a moment and a young street person ran out with my backpack and my personal products and medications were lost as well as my jewelry.

Our experience at this hotel was appalling from start to finish. We arrived around 6:30 p.m. to find the reception desk completely unattended, with only a sign saying the receptionist was helping other guests. A phone number was posted, but when I called, it rang endlessly with no answer. We waited 40 minutes before the only staff member on duty appeared to check us in. There is no elevator—only stairs—to access the rooms. The reception area, stairwell, and hallways looked and smelled dirty. Things didn’t improve in the room: both the bedroom and bathroom were tiny, and the shower was so cramped I could barely fit inside. The bathroom had multiple strands of hair on the walls and shower curtain, making it clear it hadn’t been properly cleaned. Walking barefoot in the room left my feet covered in dirt. The mattress felt ancient, lumpy, and squeaky with every movement, even though it was covered with mattress protectors. We slept very poorly. Parking was unsettling: the hotel lot looked abandoned, full of garbage, with no security. The gate remained open at all times, and we saw people using drugs there. Thankfully, we stayed only one night—but it was the worst accommodation of my life. The next morning, I noticed several insect bites on my arm that resembled bedbug bites. I can’t confirm the source, but given the state of the hotel, I strongly suspect it. My arm is still itchy and marked days later. The most shocking part: $ 270 for a single night in such unsanitary place

The rooms were clean. The staff were friendly& helpful. The neighborhood was noisy & in a slum. Lots of homeless people, dalapidated buildings. The neighborhood felt very unsafe. Parking was not safe. The pictures on the Expedia website were VERY misleading. Very disappointed and glad it was for only one night.

For the moderate price it was OK plus. A fine place for an in-transit overnight. We didn’t do much except eat and drink at the on-site brew pub which is highly rated and was good. We liked their very genuine and Canadian Poutine. We slept quite well in spite of noise from bar and busy street traffic. There’s a wide variety of Asian restaurants in the area. WiFi is fine. Cleanliness is fine. The staff is nice and helpful.

Need renovated historichotel in downtown Vancouver

Hotel Waldorf was nice hotel little load lots of charm to it. Major issue we had was there is no elevator so we had to haul all luggage up to the second floor room room condition was good for an older hotel had old amenities we needed. There’s a restaurant/nightclub blow which was loud late at night, but not too bad front desk. Staff was very helpful. We ate lunch in the restaurant and that was good. The hotels located right on the main bus line so we took the bus from the train stop over there to the hotel.
