Great hotel. The staffing was amazing, everyone super friendly and helpful. Nice coffee and tea being offered on a daily basis in sustainable bags, so cool. Easy and safe parking, beautiful hotel with picturesque view of the mountains and cozy balcony. Would definitely stay there again and recommend it.

New but has a way to go

This property has potential mostly due to the roof hot tub. But it was clear that it was opened. Maybe a bit too soon. We tried to order room service and we could only do pick up and when I arrive to pick up breakfast, they handed me a very hot plate with no cover to carry through one building into a second building. The cover for our blind in the bedroom, fell off and hit my husband in the head, and there are no signs anywhere. When you’re pulling into the underground parking, you have no idea if you’re supposed to go left or right. And it was only on our last day that we realize we didn’t have to go outside to come into the main building to go to the hot tub area. I think it’s a beautiful resort. But was not worth the money. We paid extra to have Mountain View and were in the building behind the main building (building 2). We only had a tiny view of the mountain in between two other buildings.

The bathroom faucets are small for the size of the sink. Ironing board and iron are not already in the room, but they did bring it up to me quickly. Sometimes front desk was busy with only one person working the counter with new customers, all I needed was to call for a cab but had to wait a bit longer before the staff could do that as they were busy. But the front desk staff were amazing, great food and service at Good Folk. Parking was easy and safe. Overall a great experience at the Otter.

Great experience, we definitely enjoy the stay especially the hot pool. Staff provided great service and hospitality. We loved that the hotel provides high quality waste free drink options with tea and coffee. Shampoo, body wash and lotion also of high quality local brand. My husband said 3x that he likes the Otter better than the Fairmount Banff Springs Hotel! The reason I choose the Otter was because of one woman's review that said the rooftop fires and hot pools made all the difference and she was so right!! The 4 rooftop fires are lit from 7 am to 11 pm; heaven!! The 2 large pools and 4 fires face Cascade mountain; stunning! The entire floor of the outside rooftop deck has heated floors; amazing!! We enjoyed the hot pools and jets ( you have to puch a buttom to trigger the jets), the rooftop fires, the oversized lounge chairs and the breathtaking views. The morning we checked out we enjoyed a rooftop picnic and it was quiet, magical and memorable! The rooms are super contemporary; I could have been in Scandinavia. The lobby fire was super huge and another big plus. Thank you, Alicia from Czech andFront Desk Supervisor Fredy from Columbia were realy lovely giving us early check in and late check out!! Thank you so much!! PS The hand made Canadian Rocky Mountain Soaps in lemon grass were adficting!!

Great hotel but not completely as advertised

Comfortable room, great hot pool facilities, and the coffee/tea system was better than most hotels. Only reason I’m marking down the hotel was due to there not being functioning EV chargers as advertised. Was told I could use the neighbouring sister hotels units, but those were not connected to the network. Not great when part of the selection process is on the basis of perceived charger availability.
