Our stay at Margaritaville was excellent!! Our room had an amazing view of the pool and water, food was delicious everywhere we ate!! And the Compass bar was so much fun due to the best bartender and mixologist Manuel!! He was so friendly, fun and so attentive to all our drinks!! We will definitely be back! And if you do go please go see Manuel- you will thank me!!

Our room was always spotless, Social director Angelo was outstanding, waiters Emilio and Ruben attentive, funny, and Paty in the Beachouse makes an amazing omelette at breakfast. The resort is small and friendly, beautifully laid out, wonderful spa, and great bars! We've been 3 times and will definitely return!

Just finished our trip at this resort. Overall it was great. The food is good at all the restaurants. The only problem with the food is you have to go into a restaurant to eat. There are no quick eat options. It would be great if they had a taco or burger stand near the pools to grab a quick bite while you are in the pool.  Room service is great also. There is 1 swim up bar. The rest of the bars you have to get out of the pool to get drinks. Every once in a while the bartender will bring you drinks. Make sure you are tipping well and they will take care of you. If you want chairs at the main two pools reserve them early. Most people get up before 7 to reserve chairs. There are not very many pool chairs. That’s probably the biggest complaint I have. Be prepared for the pools to be chilly but you get used to it quick. The beach is ok. Water is a dirty brown. Lots of seaweed but the staff keeps it cleaned up. The hammocks and floating beds are amazing. The staff was great. Joe merchants has a very limited selection. This is also where the coffee shop is. There is also a smoothie place open in the morning. The gift shop is very expensive. Don’t forget your sunscreen and aloe products.

So this place had its good and bad. Food selection was limited, especially the breakfast. I know it’s a small resort but eggs/ French toast/bacon gets really old. Rita’s tacos was okay. The Italian restaurant we were only able to get in to one of the days, seems like that’s where everyone wanted to go. It wasn’t even very crowded, I would hate to imagine it when it’s full capacity. Beach was terrible. Dark murky, sand was like walking in a river. Not the resort’s fault completely, but just the puerto Morelos area anymore. Staff was awesome! Abdiel and Mario were great, the staff all seems happy which I love. Grounds were nice and pools clean. Not much in the way of entertainment, definitely more of a VERY chill/older person place. We upgraded our room to the suite and loved it. Housekeepers did a great job. The takeaway- will I go back? No. But if someone loves the smaller resort and is a creature of habit with food, then I recommend this place for that.
