The resort and staff were very nice. But there is lack of entertainment during the week. The resort would be way better if there were more activities, especially during the day/week. I arrived on Monday and the only day there was activity at the pool was on Thursday, and I was leaving on Friday. There’s no club. There’s a small bar that stays open until 12am. If you’re looking for parties/activities this might not be the best option. Overall, the staff and food was amazing

Resort is old and needs reconditioning. Beach area is subpar with the bulk of adults hanging out at the family beaches, smoking pot, getting drunk, and cursing in front of small children. I have to say that the food was much better than I expected, some of the best I’ve had at all-inclusives. Drinks were not watered down either. Staff was friendly. Visitors at the resort were not culturally diverse, to say the least. If you like nighttime entertainment, the Bob Marley tribute band was excellent, all others not so much. Resort was not crowded at all. Pool area was nice, but I’m a beach person, so didn’t spend much time there. Would have rated much higher if the beach was nicer. It’s not a natural beach, it’s man- made and a rock barrier keeps the water waveless, so it feels more like a stagnant pond than the ocean.

The resort itself is beautiful and the food was amazing. However, I didn’t like that the internet had to be purchased, and there was no entertainment team from Monday to Wednesday. It would be great if they offered more activities for the guests throughout the week.

I recently stayed at the Hyatt, and overall it was an amazing experience that truly felt worth every dollar. The kids club was wonderful—although I didn’t personally use it, my friend did and her kids were safe, happy, and well taken care of. Special thanks to Sophia, who did a fantastic job with the children. At the front desk, the service was good across the board, but Gabriel really stood out. Her attention to detail and genuine care made my stay so much more enjoyable—I honestly wanted to tip her personally for how much she went above and beyond. Tjay deserves recognition as well. He arranged the best driver for us, ensuring we had a safe trip, and even added special touches to make my candlelight dinner with my daughter unforgettable. His thoughtfulness and information truly made the night magical. Entertainment was top-notch too—Rohan kept the energy alive with music, interacted with the crowd, and even played a special request for my daughter. That really meant a lot. The food was solid—about an 8/10, which is very good for resort dining. Lots of choices, and generally on the higher end for resort quality. I did have one small hiccup with my room, but Paul, the manager, immediately stepped in and went above and beyond to fix it, even after I told him not to worry. That kind of service is rare and truly appreciated. All in all, the staff here are incredible across the board—caring, professional, and dedicated to making guests feel at home. Thank you, Hyatt,

This property was beautiful, but otherwise the experience was hit or miss at best. There were some who were very courteous and happy to make the trip special like the water sports employees and some of the cook to order chefs in the buffet 'Choicez". Most employees were neutral and still others seemed inconvenienced to assist. Many frowns and curt tones despite Thank You Sir or Ma'am or Please being given by my family I was traveling with. For food before booking I called and advised of food allergies including 3 of 5 people having to eat gluten free and the representation was the ability to handle gluten allergy restriction but only one restaurant proved able to do so otherwise we had to eat in the cafeteria which was limited as well. The Butlers assigned to our room never made contact and were otherwise absent. Refilling the mini bar was nonexistent as well. The room cleaning was minimal for the Fifth floor but good in the other room on the second floor. We also were lied to about time for "welcome package" sales pitch and it was admitted that the time it would require was a lie by a member of the olaya club staff when confronted. Not a good way to do business. No apology for lying was given. Overall this was not worth the price point and beauty didn't make up for the other parts of the experience. We have enjoyed other Hyatt owned properties like the AMR collection but won't visit a Hyatt Ziva or other property like this in the near future.

I had an absolute amazing experience at this resort. The food was wonderful with so many options. The indian station at the buffet was exceptional. The staff was so kind and friendly and pleasant, a special shout out to Petrina at the French restaurant, our servers Chetaya and Tamara, and Olivia at concierge. They have a heart of gold. The housekeeping staff are the undercover heroes who took care of the rooms so well. The resort is beautiful, both the Hyatt Ziva and Zilara sides. The golf carts to take you from place to place which was so helpful for my mother with bad knees and ankles. Everything was truly wonderful and I would highly recommend!
