Tiny room, few towels, view wasn’t a view, room smelled, bed stiff, noisy, fire alarms blasted throughout the night, robes tattered and torn, no bath mat, no place for luggage, mini fridge not stocked, room service all italian :( Location good- that is the only positive

Nice hotel and conveniently located.

If you are looking for a place to sleep and shower and plan on being out the entire time, this place is perfect. If you plan on spending some time in the hotel room, it's very small (tight squeeze) but other than that, the place has was nice. The roof top lounge and the club are a plus.

The Dream is a Dream

Pros: Comfortable, nice decor, nice room, everything new.
Cons: I mean, who wouldn't want to pay less :)
Location: It's in Midtown, literally in the center of everything. Easy walk to Columbus Circle, Central Park, 5th avenue etc etc etc.
I loved my stay! The hotel has been renovated, everything is clean, new, and fresh. I stayed in the Queen Bronze room, and yes it is small. I don't understand when people complain about NYC hotel rooms being small -- this isn't Iowa! It was the perfect size for one person. Comfy bed, awesome TV, nice bathroom with excellent water pressure, and nice fixtures. Loved the toiletries provided, especially the lotion, shower gel, and soap. I loved the decor of the room and the hotel. The staff is AWESOME. Very helpful esp. Mike. There is a rooftop bar with a great view, too. I would recommend to a friend and would absolutely stay here again. A nice respite in Midtown.

Newer hotel, but typical for the area.

Pros: VERY comfy bed Clean and new rooms Friendly staff
Cons: Do something about the GD compressor noise in the bathroom! And I hate when there's a mini-fridge full of crap no one will ever buy. Space-waster.
Location: Located near Central Park, Carnegie Deli, Colbert, etc. It's a short walk away from Times Square, if that's your thing.
I stayed at Dream Midtown on a Thursday before Labor Day weekend. The counter staff, Mike in particular, were very pleasant and helpful. I was put on the second floor, so I didn't need to wait long for elevators. The hallways are a little narrow, but typical for an old Manhattan renovated building. My room was nice and clean. Do not book a single if you have more than two in your party, as the bathroom is small and there is precious little floor space. The bed proved to be extremely comfortable. There was no in-room coffee machine ( it's in the lobby - a minor inconvenience ). The TV was a brand-new Samsung smartTV with every channel. Even though I was next to the elevators, I couldn't hear them. What I did hear (all night long) was the hum of a compressor emanating from the bathroom ceiling in the mechanical access hatch! It would cycle on every 20 second and last 10 seconds. I know because spent most of the night counting it! Sleeping with the bathroom door ajar wasn't possible. Sleeping with it closed proved a challenge - something to consider if you're a light sleeper.

Nice hotel close to Broadway.

Pros: Staff were excellent!
Cons: Get the roof top bar opened soon!! Bummed we missed it!
Location: Very close to Broadway. The restaurant was excellent (attached to the hotel) and I would suggest a visit to Tucker's. The bar a couple doors down.
We were pleasantly surprised after reading some of the recent reviews. The hotel staff were all very pleasant and enjoyable to work with. The lobby is beautiful and very welcoming. Some might consider the room to be small but it was perfect for us. Loved the decor!! There was construction occurring on the building but other than walking under scaffolding one would not know. We were there over the weekend so perhaps this would be different during the week. This was a perfect place for my wife's birthday weekend! We would stay again!!

U give the dream a 6/10

The most unique hotel I've been to in a while. Clean rooms, super cool rooftop, rude actual hotel restaurant staff (waiter- Aldo) but all in a all a good stay. I would "probably" stay again after looking around first.

Dream Hotel review.

The Dream Hotel was listed as a 4 star hotel. This is too high a rating. 3 star rating is appropriate. Our room was 1/2 the size of a normal room. The bed was also less than a Queen-size. We could barely get both of us into the bed. It might have been OK for just one person.
