Off the tourist trail

Hotel was warm and welcoming, room was large and well maintained. Location is not set up for tourists, but plenty of places to eat that are cheap and the area was safe at night. Although not in a tourist location it was a15 minute walk up to Hradcanska, but also very close to Dejvicka transport links. Train takes 10 minutes to the Old Town.

Good location

Room was clean and the size was good. However the bathroom (more a wet room) is very small and has no shower curtains. The breakfast was good but it is not easy to get an table. The location is great since there are some good restaurant around, Metro and streetcar station and even in walking distance to the castle of I don't mind a 30 min walk.

Can't be beaten for the price we paid!

My friend and I needed a hotel room for the night in Prague after driving from Zurich to Munich to Prague in one day and we did a quick search using expedia and behold we were able to get a triple bed room for $39 AUD per night. So for that price per night you can't really complain about anything in the hotel. But when looking at the 4 Stars the hotel claims to have it seemed to us that the 4 Star Hotel rating in Prague perhaps differs from other countries because that hotel, to me, wasn't a 4 star hotel. Staff, though not rude, yet they were unprofessional in their job. The Breakfast area seemed to me like an old school Cafeteria where barely 20 people fit and for a hotel that big that's quite bad. I had to eat my breakfast standing up until a kind lady came and asked me to join her and her husband at their table. Beds were comfortable although the room was over heated I had to open the window and let in the -3 Degree wind into the room in order for me to sleep comfortably. But again when I look at the fact that my friend and I each paid $19.50 per person per night for this spacious room with triple beds, I really can't complain whatsoever and I actually enjoyed my stay there despite the many improvements the hotel needs.

Convenient little spot away from downtown Prague.

We stayed overnight in Prague while traveling thru Czech Republic. The hotel is out of downtown area, and very convenient to Public Transport and several good restaurants. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and spoke English (not German). The "free" parking is on the street. The room was comfortable but not fancy. Breakfast was included and good.

Decent hotel in a good location.

This hotel is located a casual 30-min walk from Old Square via some beautiful parks, castle, and over the river..so there's plenty to see along the walk. The staff were very good and the condition of the hotel was on par with what to expect for the money. The hotel is on a street of the main road but there is hardly any traffic, and the windows block out all the noise. The only thing that let it down for me were the fact that the advertised king bed was actually two singles put together. Also, the flush is very loud, which was only am issue as when ofher rooms used their toilet it caused the cistern in my room to empty and fill. Woke me up a few times during the night. All in all though, it wouldn't be the worst thing if I stayed there again.

We stayed a year ago at the same place under the name of Denisa. A bit small and showing the wear but in a convenient location. The breakfast was the best we have had. But this trip to the newly named Art Meda hotel was the same except that the breakfast was second rate. Two star is a fair rating.

Great location

I've stayed in hotels more luxurious than Art-Meda while I was in Prague, but I felt very comfortable here. My room was nice and cleaned daily. All staff friendly and really helpful. Hotel's wifi was way too fast. Breakfast could have been better, possibly with more options. One of the most striking features of the hotel is its location in a tranquil and safe residential neighborhood which is 5-10 min. from city center by metro. When I return to magnificent Prague, this is where I will stay.

56 euros for 3 nights in a double room including breakfast with a Expedia deal Well positioned for trams and metro with many restaurants and coffee houses within 5 mins walk This is nothing fancy but with clean rooms excellent value for money.

Excellent value in a PERFECT location.

The hotel is located in Dejvicka in Prague 6, a district that is about 10 minutes walk away from the old town/centre of Prague. Dejvicka is the last stop on a 119 bus from the airport which cost about 60 Kornua (£1.50) and then a two minute walk from the bus stop. So 'transferring' was easy. We LOVED where this hotel was. It was outside of the hustle and bustle, the surrounding shops and bars had a more local feel despite still being very close to the 'main attractions' On your walk from the hotel to the old town you can either go through Letná park or the botanical garden (which leads on to the castle) both offer breath-taking views over Prague. The hotel concierge spoke good English and was very pleasant to deal with. They let us store our bags for the day after checking out without any hassle. Break fast was rather underwhelming, but did us well enough until lunch time. The rooms were clean, and provided some storage for clothes. We had booked a double room, we got to single pushed together, which was completely fine with us. The rooms are not air conned but have a ceiling fan and a pedestal fan was also put in our room. We went in early July when the temperatures were between 25 and 31°C and we found our first few nights very hot. A few bars near by we liked (both can be found on G-maps) were the Hostine c Viléma and Mr. Steak Point which served food and beer until late.

Good for the price, but little away from center

The stay was good for the price, however, the furniture and accessories etc. in the room are not in the best state. Wifi was fine except for a night when it did not work due to some problems. The location is little away from the tourist attractions - so not a great option if you want to explore the city by walking. However, metro and tram stops are close by. The staff is fine, breakfast was included in the price, however very limited options and practically the same stuff every morning.

Nice hotel perfect location

Lovely staff. Nice hotel two mins walk from the main stop in metro line A (Devijcka) The 119 bus from the airport stops at Devijka too. The only thing is there's no iron so bring ur travel iron. :). Bf is up till 10-30 am for the people who lie in (guilty) and is of excellent variety. I enjoyed my stay.

I searched for a decent place to stay overnight between airport pick-ups and the location is great for airport connections. The hotel itself is okay, especially for the price, but it's NOT a 4-star accommodation (as advertised) and "free parking nearby" means you contend with dozens of local neighborhood residents for minimal public street parking. One "plus" is that the in-room wifi was legit.

Lovely hotel, great value for money!

We stayed for 4 nights and I can't fault the hotel staff they were very friendly and helpful. The room was nice and comfortable room and it was clean. The kingside bed was 2 pushed together like many hotels abroad, this didn't bother us and they didn't move apart (if you know what I mean ;-) we had a small bathroom with bath and powerful shower, nothing special but adequate for our needs. Hotel provided hand wash and shower gel so you don't need to pack these, also there is a small hair dryer which was ok, however if I had room in my luggage (only took hand baggage) I would have took my own. There is a small tv which only has 1 English speaking channel (CNN) but you are in Prague and there are plenty of better things to be doing! There is a wardrobe and a couple of cupboards; but no drawers, there is also a safe for a refundable deposit of 500czk (~£15) The room doesn't have AC but has a celing fan. There is free Wifi throughout the hotel which was great for our iPads to plan journeys etc. Breakfast is included which is amazing for the price, between 7-10.30 am they provide ample selection of breads, cakes, pastries, meats, cheeses, cereals, jams, yoghurt and fruit. They also provide some hot food like prague sausages or bacon with boiled or scrambled eggs. We had a three course breakfast nearly every day! Hotel is 25 min awar from airport by car, and 15 min away from Prague centre on bus or tram. There is also a convenient 119 bus to airport.

Das ist höchstens ein zwei sterne....

Teppich unrein, Tv programme nur zdf, luftkanal verbindet Zimmer - sicherheit null, Türgriff defekt, trotz hinweis - keine Reparatur, Aufzug gerade für 3 dünne Personen, Fenster können von Aussen vom Balkon geöffnet werden, Personal sehr unfreundlich, Rezeption kaum besetzt, dann sehr unfreundlich , nicht entgegenkommend, Frühstück sehr dürftig und schnell leer, Auffüllen kommt nicht in Frage, ....ein guten morgen. ..guten Tag oder Aufwiedersehen gibts im Hotel wohl nicht....Fazit : Dieses Hotel nie wieder...eine Frechheit das das 4 Sterne hat....
