A bit noisy but clean

Pros: Free Internet, close to walking path
Cons: Noisy, not very good for transit users
The TV in our room had major issues; it worked, but only just. Otherwise, the room was pretty decent. The walls felt very thin, because you could hear the neighbours and people walking outside, which might be bad for light sleepers. Our room's mini-fridge worked like a charm! For those coming by foot, this hotel also happens to be right next to a walking path, which is somewhat convenient for getting to the major bus routes. Otherwise, it is next to the 11 bus, which is nice for getting downtown and to UVic.

Original room offered had a smell of fish as soon as I entered the room the bathroom smelt of pee once I complained the hotel offered me another room which I took on the 2nd floor this time I had issues with the door entry cards which kept locking me out , and not once in the 3 days I stayed did I have a solid nights sleep with neighbours above moving furniture around at 5am for the price I paid I walked away feeling disappointed and wouid never return to this location that I stayed in at Victoria

The hotel is a good value for the cost

Pros: Free Internet, Quiet
The hotel was a bit out of the downtown, but that was ok for my purposes. I served my purposes for the visit very well.

Off the beaten path.

Pros: helpful staff
Cons: Nothing close
We found the staff very helpful and the room comfortable. We were quite far from downtown Victoria which in some ways provided us some opportunities for adventure. We did not rent a car, but walked or used public transportation instead. Local restaurants and a grocery store were quite the hike. We did enjoy the quiet atmosphere after spending the day doing touristy things.Next time we will probably rent a car.

This was an acceptional room for the price.

Pros: Free Internet, full kitchen
The room was a surprise. It had a full kitchen and a very comfortable bed. For the price we were very surprised at how comfortable, clean and well maintained it was. The only drawback was that it was a 3 story building with no elevator. We were on the third floor and had to walk the stairs many times. The walkways to the rooms were outdoors but you could access them through the indoor lobby. We were very happy with the staff. Our only complaint was a slow draining bathtub. Hopefully that was taken care of when they received our comment card.

Hotel was as expected

Pros: Free Internet, Quiet, location
We got to Victoria a day early around 9PM and went to the hotel to check if we could get a room but they were fully booked. The front desk staff recommended and found a room for us at a nearby hotel for a reasonable price, which I thought was very nice of them to do. The next day check in it was easy and the room was clean and ready for us. My only negative about the room was that while it had everything as stated the one thing that it could use a little more of was floor space, if this room was booked for a family with young children there is no room for them to play. But since that was not our case the room was nice and extremely well located with easy access to downtown, sightseeing and shopping. I would stay here again.

Travelodge Victoria, BC, Canada

It is a clean, inexpensive hotel, breakfast is NOT included. But has a nice breakfast for $** or so. It is conveniently located and the kitchen facilities were also good: all necessary utensils were provided.

Super!

We were somewhat cautious about staying at this hotel. It looked a little old in the photos but what a pleasant surprise! We arrived a day late due to a mix up with the ferry and expected to have forfeited that prepaid room money. Instead, the young man at the front desk told me they hadn't charged my credit card after all (room was "prepaid"), they had just cancelled the reservation. He let me add on an extra night at the same special "stay two and save" promotion. They had plenty of rooms, very clean and tidy. Very comfy bed. We would definitely stay again. There is a small dog park across the street. This hotel is in a residential neighborhood but our room was quiet.

What a bargain!

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! It is located less than a 5 minute drive from downtown which was convenient because I had the accessibility to downtown without paying downtown prices! The hotel also offers free wireless internet, and free parking. I stayed there during spring break and they had a special promotion on which included free hot breakfast as well! The rooms were absolutely spotless and looked like they had been renovated recently. The Front Desk staff were warm, friendly and very helpful. They even called me after I checked into to see if everything was okay with my room. The hotel is in a quiet residential neighbourhood and from parts of the hotel, you can get really nice views of the inner harbour and Gorge waterway. I think I might come back in the summer and bring my bike as it is very near cycling trails and there are kayak rentals a couple of blocks away. I also saw harbour ferries going past that I want to try. Oh and the hotel also has an indoor pool, saunas, and fitness centre. The kids love it! I just wish the hotel had flat screen tv's! Traveller Tips: -The public bus stops right in front of the hotel and goes direct to downtown. It's a cheap way of getting around! -Get a room with a kitchen to save money on meals rather than dining out. -Try the cheesecake in their sports lounge or cafe - it is to die for! -If you're bringing a pet, there is a dog park right across the street :)
