Room was overall pretty clean. The pool is closed permanently and we had not been told or advised. Our room was also quite hot (24-25degrees) and because they had shut the AC for the year we were not able to control the temperature.

I was in Vancouver for work and decided to bring my family along. We’ve stayed at Holiday Inns before — the one in Saskatoon was great, especially because of the pool and gym — so we booked this downtown location expecting something similar. On Expedia, it clearly said the hotel had a pool, which was a big reason we chose it. When we arrived, though, there was a sign saying the pool was permanently closed. That was really disappointing, especially since it was supposed to rain all week and the pool was something the kids were looking forward to. If we had known, we would have booked somewhere else much closer to my workplace. The gym was another letdown. It’s hard to describe, but it just felt damp and humid the whole time. Not pleasant. Finally, when we opened the sofa bed in our room, the bedding was dirty with what looked like Dorito crumbs. I called the front desk and they sent someone up right away to change it, which I appreciated, but it’s not something you want to deal with after checking in. Overall, not the experience I was hoping for. We’ve had much better stays with Holiday Inn before, but I wouldn’t pick this location again.

The hotel was just fine. Clean, nice staff, etc. however, the heat in our room was unsettling as it warmed to 30 degrees and we could not lower the setting to be cooler. That is too hot.

Very nice and clean hotel. The airline lost our luggage and was delivering it to the hotel and the staff let us know right when it came. The thermostat seemed to be broken however but other than that, great stay
