The staff were very attentive and friendly. We found a few stains on the bedsheets which looked like they were never washed which sort of freaked us out. The doors and walls are quite thin as well so it was tough to sleep; we woke up frequently due to creaks or sounds in the halls.

Although the listing said free breakfast but they don’t have free breakfast! There’s a restaurant downstairs called sudden sally but you have to pay. The views were amazing!!! The location was perfect. The hot spring pool was a chefs kiss! Staff are friendly. Great location too. They give you a free bus pass for 3 days which is so convenient if you don’t have a car 10/10

Took my husband for his birthday and we absolutely loved the hotel. Great area, 13 mins walk to downtown action. Hotel has a great restaurant and hot tubs are phenomenal with a sauna. Highly recommend this hotel.

The place was great, comfortable, with nice view on the mountains ! Everything was in the room to enjoy your stay (coffee maker, microwave, microfridge, compost and recycling). They even gave you free pass for the Roam bus transit while in Banff, so no parking spot to find and to pay. The only small thing is that the doors are not noise proof, so unpleasant if others talk loud or have their tv up. But overall great experience ! Thanks

*Tell new guests about the “blackout curtains” in the room when they check-in. *“Mountain”view was a little misleading; it was actually a view of a road and gas station in front of a mountain. *Provide more luggage racks in the room. *Room was well maintained and clean. *Breakfast was not “free” for us; we had to pay $25.20 CAD including the tip.

This was our second stay with the Hotel. Excellent service and staff were friendly. My only suggestion is to monitor the Hot Springs in the evening. I am not sure if babies and small children should be brought in to swim. It was very very noisy and small kids screaming because it was too hot. It wasn’t very relaxing to unwind.

I had an amazing stay at the Banff Canoe Hotel! The waterfall hot tub and sauna were absolutely incredible — such a relaxing experience. I loved the thoughtful touches like the little coffee station with a sink, and the fireplace and balcony made the room feel so cozy and special. Truly an unforgettable getaway!

Room is spacious and beautiful. The hotel is consisted of 4 buildings (A, B, C and D), each with parking spots adjacent to it so it very convenient to get to the vehicle. We were there during shoulder season and there seems to be just enough parking. There is an area with 2 hot pools (hot tubs) and gas-fire pit. Both our room and the hot pools are facing the mountains so the view is stunning and sitting in the hot pool can feel therapeutic. It was not too crowded when we were there. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend others of this hotel. I find it to be one of the more nicer looking hotels in banff.

Love this hotel. A++ service and facilities all around. The hot tubs were a highlight. The restaurant was delicious and a great barista. On edge of town but hotel will give you a free bus pass, and the bus is super convenient. Can’t say enough about this place. Will stay here again!

Stayed for week 13-22 Oct 2025. Excellent stay. Great view from balcony of Mt Rundle. Elk visited one night. Clean. Good parking. Complementary bus pass was excellent-ROAM (bus) takes you to most places in/around Banff. Hot tub (pool) and sauna well appreciated (does close at 10PM) No issues with check in/out. Would have no issues staying here again or recommending to others.

It was a great stay overall, which could have been a lot worse, but saved by the reception staff who helped us getting a different and much better room after disappointing realization of the studio unit being on the ground level, which is not what we expected especially for the fall/winter season. PROS: - the room (we ended up getting a room with two queen beds & mountain view on 6th floor) is clean and neat, with small kitchen with microwave and fridge. - the view from the room is indeed unbeatable - we liked the restaurant in the hotel (Sudden Sally); our favorites were chicken parmesan for lunch. - hot spa area was another bonus, with shower and locker facility being quite handy CONS: - the AC/heater unit in the room is very loud/noisy, to the point we woke up whenever it started running again in the middle of the night when the temperature dropped; there is no way to adjust the noise level - you gotta either turn it off to get rid of the noise or leave it on and deal with the noise - when I inquired the front desk staff about the issue. - there is a train track nearby from which you would hear the train noise from horns, again a couple of times in the middle of the night. - the light bulb in the balcony cannot be turned off - it seems to be on 24/7, so pack a sleep mask for your sake if you are sensitive to any light while trying to fall asleep - double blinds in the room helps, but it does not completely block out the light like those blackout curtains.
